Hallo all, nearly fell over when I heard Yusuf doing a phone interview on Gerry Ryans program here on the radio yesterday. Gerry Ryan is simultaneously (?) the best and the worst presenter on Irish radio imho. When he's good, he's great, when he's bad, he's shocking. They have put the interview in 2 parts as mp3 podcast: www.rte.ie/podcasts/2009/pc/pod-v-121109-14m12s-weeklyryan.mp3and www.rte.ie/podcasts/2009/pc/pod-v-121109-18m12s-weeklyryan.mp3if that doesn't work for any reason, try the streamer first go to the radio station... 2fm.rte.ie/show/11then click on listen back then when the pop up window comes up, go to November 12th 2009, when it is up, go to about 75mins on the slider. Enjoy. Looking forward to concert on Sunday!!!! Gavin

I agree--great interview! I actually heard some things I'd never heard before. I love the way Yusuf was able to field certain questions! And as far as Gerry goes...he is a bit brusk, but he asked the hard questions I wanted answered. He also asked other very good ones I could never have thought up!! I'm also glad that it went on for a good long while, not one of those 2 min interviews!! Thanks a ton for the find Gavin!!!!

Wow! What a great interview and the questions were at a very sincere and human level, filled with love and appreciation. A glimpse of the human being behind the artist. Thank you.

Congratulations to Gerry Ryan for his interview. Gerry really knows how to press the right buttons for Yusuf to open up, and to be honestly frank with his answers. I think in the end Yusuf would have welcomed more questions. He seemed in a very talkative mood, and in high spirits.
Thankyou Gavin for the link, it was a real pleasure to listen.
