I realize that this is probably not an appropriate message for this site but here goes...
Does anyone know why new registrations on catstevens.com were suspended? Is there someone that can be contacted that could allow a new user?

New registrations were closed a while back, there has been a discussion on CS. com about it, not sure why but John, the Site Administrator has said he has no plans to re-open it yet

Hi Greg and Jenny, welcome to Majicat. Things may be a little quieter here, but it is certainly a friendly place Christine has here. Jackie

Hello and thanks Jackie. Yes this is a friendly site. For any members from Adelaide, South Australia... listen to local ABC Radio on July 21st in the breakfast program. I spoke to the presenters this week and they have promised to feature Cat Stevens' music in their playlist in recognition of the day.

Is there any link available so that we here in the States(and other parts of the world) can listen in and join in the celebration honoring this fine man. Peace,Vivian

I wonder if ABC Sydney will have the same programme? It's a really nice feeling to hear that the programme is honouring Yusuf. Jackie

Hello Vivian and Jackie I checked, but the live service on-line doesn't cover my local station's programs. I'm sure we'll all be playing our favourite Cat/Yusuf music on the day, anyway. I'll let you know what they play and what they say... Great little reference in the Herald- Sun yesterday. From a very touching article about London, written right after the bombing on Thursday "Walk south from the square past the University of London and you reach the heart of British history. Inside the British Museum is the ornate circular reading room of the British Library where Kipling, Wilde, and H.G. Wells wrote their prose and Marx, Lenin, and Gandhi honed their philosophies. London is the home of Yusuf Islam's (Cat Stevens) Islamia school, a few miles from the Orthodox Jewish enclaves of Golders Green, which are above the Hindu communities of the East End. It is not a home for those who see lines between those neighborhoods." (Link for those who are interested in reading the full article www.heraldsun.com/opinion/columnists/reynolds/84-625583.html ) "Why can't we live in peace?" J

This is not going to win me any friends, but here goes... How come there are no new registrations on catstevens.com? It is very frustrating not being able to have your say Why do they lock topics?...they say this topic doesn't look like it was going to go anywhere positive...maybe people just want to express their feelings about current events...and yes I know it is a Cat Stevens website, but maybe people feel the need to discuss these things amongst friends...ie London Bombings Censorship sucks Also, I have to comment on the amount of posts of some people...I'm sorry, but I've got to say, my God, what else do you do with your lives?...every topic there are the usual suspects...18 000+ posts...and going strong! And a message to John aka Into_White...if you want to hear those songs there are ways and means...eg winMX, soulseek to name a few These are my thoughts...this is how I am feeling...like it or not

I joined catstevens.com recently with no problem. Adam, I'd be interested in any stray remarks you might have on what life is like there, and what you're learning there.
