Hi All
What do you think about the news that there is going to be a Cat Stevens tribute gig in the Uk in march 2005 ( see home page for details).
I hope as many of you as possable can make it but we can only fit 100 of you in and the tickets are going fast.
Albert and the guys are just great..and this is the very first time for them to play in the uk.
so if you are like me and never got the chance to go to a Cat Stevens gig this is a real treat or if you did well it will be great to here the songs again live.
I have helped put on over 100 gigs at my little club in Bedford in the last 3 yrs BUT this is a dream come true.
please contact me asap.....even if you cant make it
it would be great to chat.

ps......for me like most of you Cats songs are the simple the best.you never get bored with them ...still going strong today.......lets re-live the 70's again on sat 19-3-05 ........The night of the cat !!!

I wish I could confirm now that I could make it on those days, but since Hairy just started a new job, he might not be up for vacation yet. We do plan a UK trip sometime next year, but we can't say when. Well, good luck with your gig.

Michael, If I lived in the UK, I would be there in a heartbeat! I'm sending you the best of luck to a very successful tribute concert. I'm sure everyone that attends will have a memorable time.

There will be photo's taken of the night for majicat

we have had interest from people from USA who are checking flights ect and other pro musicans that would love the chance to play on this one off gig..sorry guys this is Al & the firecats night
It looks like the Press will be there too.....
And I have a few idea's for the night that will also be very ...ONE OFF ...cant tell you yet but do you want to be there to see or hear ??

I cant tell you what the details of the ONE OFF part of the gig is but all i can say is .we ALL want this to be a night for all cat fans to remmber..only to say the fact the gig/show is on makes it a ONE OFF !!
Al & the firecats will make sure its a great night for us as there are true fans of Cats music and the man behind it
As for me well this idea had been in my head for many years just waiting for the right time And the right act to do justice to Cats music ...so take my word this will be a real ONE OFF ....as I have the help from Major cat fans around the world helping to make this all come together its more than MUSIC ITS PAYING TRIBUTE TO THE GREAT MAN & HIS GREAT MUSIC
MANY PEOPLE HAVE ASKED ME wHY DID I CHOOSE ONLY TO HOLD THIS WHERE ONLY 100 PEOPLE CAN COME ALONG WELL ITS SIMPLE I KNOW MY CLUB CAN DO THIS FULL JUSTICE AND TO GET THE 100 MOST KEEN CAT FANS TOGETHER IT WILL BE A GREAT NIGHT TO SHARE OUR LOVE FOR HIS MUSIC IF WE HELD IT SOMEWHERE WHICH HOLD 100'S WE WOULD LOOSE THAT

Hi As this gig is almost sold out now with less than 20 tickets left I have put tickets up for sale on ebay At £10 each on a buy it now option so if you need to spread the cost this is the easy way to do it. I wish you the best, Michael, as I know that will be a great night. I wish I would be able to share that night with you, but I can't. I am pretty sure that sometime next year I will be in London, but at this time I am unable to commit to a time I can make the trip across the Atlantic. But I will be there in spirit, even if it is not in person.
