Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone can help me out. My mother had a tattoo that she said was either cat steven's artwork, or artwork related to cat stevens...can't quite remember. She died recently, and I wanted to get the same tattoo as her, but I don't have a picture of it due to the fact that it was on her butt...hehe. Anyways the design is either a grasshopper or a butterfly sitting on a crescent moon playing a fiddle, there are a couple stars in the background. I have searched the internet far and wide for this and have found nothing, Please help???

Hi Brianna, Sounds awfully cute (and definitely sounds like Cat's style).. but I've never seen such a picture. Are you sure it wasn't a tattoo inspired by the likes of this picture? Not sure why it's not showing up; anyway it's the painting of the spider playing a flute from Cat's Buddha album...

The picture you describe also reminds me of a book I remember having as a child... Peterchen's Mondfahrt ("Little Peter's Journey to the Moon") ... I remember a beetle playing a fiddle on the cover art of that book.. and a giant full moon in the background. This is the best picture I can find at the moment... I'll see if I can find a larger image.. anyway I always thought it was very cute: And sorry to hear about the loss of your mother...

A little off the subject, but I've also found this art of Cat's very cute, in a similar vein... (from Christine's very own site):
