Believe it or not, to keep tabs on Cat Stevens. I had never used a computer in my life before and swore I would never touch one much less own such a thing. Well, I only discovered Cat through his deportation fiasco and I thought he was an American Citizen and was not being allowed into his own Country. When he sat down with Larry King for his interview I was shocked to hear his London accent. lol duh! I recognized his songs, like Peace Train, Wild World, First Cut is the Deepest but never really knew who had sung them. (another duh, I know). In my defense, between raising three children (almost soley), teaching school and playing piano, I had time for little else around that time. Well better late than never I always say. I love the guy and that is why I am here today. So there!

I can't think of a better reason either.... Your much better than me, it took me a few weeks before thinking about seeing if there was anything on line about Cat. That was back around 1997 or 98. I actually couldn't think of what to look up when I first came on line. So the first thing I looked up was the Loch Ness Monster..lol I have no idea why I decided to look up ole Nessie.

It is so nice to find kindred spirits around. I thought I might be the only one who went through such lengths. Yeah right, eh Viv? I would not have met all of you nice people either had I not gotten my computer.. So glad I did.

I remember sitting in front of the computer and being completely stumped, can't remember what I looked at first, but I do recall it being pretty boring. It was my husband who suggested I look up Cat Stevens, I didn't expect to find anything. I always had this belief that I was the only one that remembered him Glad I was wrong ;D
