Fascinating! Here's a quote: A compilation of two performances some 35 years apart. I'm surprised no-one with decent equipment has cobbled this glaringly obvious idea together before. [If someone can, please do.] For anyone who doesn't realise, the older Yusuf Islam imparts the Father's wisdom whilst his younger incarnation, Cat Stevens, provides the son's angst. If this is not the best song ever written, I'd like to know what is. Interestingly, the guitar solos are played on both occasions by Alun Davies [and he does them, appropriately, in different octaves too.] Wonderful.
Thank you, Anette. ~Sun~

Thank you, Anette. ~Sun~ There is also a video with a compilation of THREE Father and Son performances. The YEar of the Child concert is included. Can someone post that one. Peace,Vivian

Thank you, Ale. It's a nice video - the "Indian Ocean" part is short, but it's good to hear. ~Sun~

Thank you, Anette! Everyone probably knows that Cat made his national television debut in the US in November 1973 with his "Moon & Star" concert on ABC-TV’s "In Concert" series. Majicat even has a petition to request that ABC release their recording of this performance to the general public. I just searched on "Cat Stevens ABC 1973" and found some of the songs he performed and they're really great (of course.) Cat was only 25 years old. Anyway, these videos reminded me that it would be so wonderful to have ABC release a DVD of this concert. . . ~Sun~

That 'Foreigner Suite" video just made my day. What an awesome experience that had to be for Cat.
