Good man not to give up zvon. Give me just a little while longer and I'll try to figure the rest out. Gino Thanks Gino. Like I said, please don't feel rushed. Just looking for any recent word or update. I'm wrapping up work on an original and I'm thinking of jumping back into this project. If I do there are many other songs on my list I can go with. Gonna take a look at that Sad Lisa thread now. That would be one of them.

zvon, I've tabbed out the intro and am writing out the chords the way I did earlier. I'm still working on it.

Jzero is a real difficult song. It's written in F and Ab major where he frequently intermixes both scales, and the rhythm, too (from 3/4th to parts of 2/4th and 4/4th). My suggestion is to play it with a capo at the first fret. From what I can hear this should be the way he must have played it on the album (otherwise it also gets unplayable with all the little quirks in there).

Yeah, capo on the 1st is how we've been playing it from the beginning, and the intro confirms that this is definately how Cat played it on the album. Just listening to this song you don't realize how difficult it really is, so I was surprised when I first started tabbing it. It's a good challenge though.

If you are stuck anywhere, just give me a call, and we can figure it out together. You figured out all the chords yet?

This is a tuff gig. I loved this song from way back and it was one I've always wished to play. And yea, those quirks from the mid part out, the changes, very hard to capture this for an acoustic layout. I think I can get the rhythm in the way that I attack the guitar. And during those passages toward the end, it will be an attack, lol. Thanks for the update SP4313. Im gonna go look at the new tabs you put up. How Can I Tell You is definitely on my play list. High on it because this one lends itself to solo play very well. Anyone here interested in trying to work together over the innerwebby recording any of these classics?

I went back here today and started thinking about Jzero. This is based off of yours Jacky so it will look familiar to you. I just changed some of the chord names. I felt it needed the Am and a B# is the same as a C. Capo on 1. Try it and tell me what you think.
Well I aint (E) got nothing (A) - (B) but it don't (E) worry (F#) me (B)
I came (C) to this life (G) like a free (Am) walking (C) tree
No need (D) to be tied (G) no (Am) need (D) to (C) be (B)
They call (C) me Jzero (E) A E A E A E A

I thought you guys already had the intro, and all that down as so much time has passed since the last reply to this topic.
As for the chords of the verses, I'd do it slightly different (Capo 1st fret).
-(A)---E------E7--A--B--------E---F#---B Well, I ain't got no-thing, but it don't worry me. ---C-----D---G---------Am------G--C--- I came to this life like a free-walking tree, ----D---------G---A--D7--A--B7 No need to be tied, no need to be. ------C------D-----E--E7---A-------E--E7--A ...... They call me Jzero.

The Am definately sounds better than the A, and I should have written C in place of B# (same chord) from the start. Excellent work.
