Iheard that the london police raided cats orphanage and shut him down becuase his money was going to terrorists. is it true? i heard it at school but i cant find it anywhere else and i figured you guys would know.

Kimblejen, That one is definitely a rumor. He tends to be victim to so many lame rumors. I wouldn't pay any mind to it. If it were true the media would have a field day with it.

You know, I am more than willing to bet that this SICK RUMOR got started because of Yusuf's problems with Isreal! Isreal accuses Yusuf of aiding Terrorists instead of ophanages, so OF COURSE IT MUST BE TRUE! Why can't people just realize that Yusuf is a KIND SWEET AND CARING man who would NEVER EVER support terrorists! He does SO MUCH to help those in need! WHY CAN'T PEOPLE SEE THIS!

Don't you guys remember? It was during that whole 'soul less' military action speech fiasco thingy.. I could have sworn someone said that Yusuf's charity had been raided as well, and temporarily shut down. Of course, never for a minute would I think anyone associated with that charity would support terrorism and nasty rumors circulate about YI all the time unfortunately... I could have sworn something was posted about that....Does anybody remember it or am I just delusional as usual?  peace and love, Susan |

Susan, I think his charities were looked into, but I don't recall anything being shut down as a result of it. The only time anything was shut down that I recall, was Yusufs' own doing. Such as, when he shut his schools down for a few days, right after the September 11th attack. And that is because everything was so heated at the time, he did it to protect the school children as a procautionary thing.
But I could be wrong. I don't keep up with such things as well as I should sometimes.

On the US site Muhammad Khan wrote a response to the attacks on Yusuf on that thread Kama started. He said that Yusuf was upset because NATO shut down his access to helping the Bosnian orphans. He said that Yusuf was upset about that because the children were being denied food and help. I am not sure exactly what happened because it has been a few months but it was definitely not because Yusuf 'supposedly' supported terrorism. I think it was more a political action from NATO than Yusuf.
Yusuf does not support terrorism in any way. He is against all of it. That man just helps kids.

Okay, yes...that message from Muhammad Khan is the one I remember reading, but I didn't remember the details exactly. Well I'm glad they didn't shut any of YI's stuff down, but am dismayed about NATO doing what they did. Are they now allowing Yusuf to help the Bosnian orphans again?

Salaam, guys. Wow, this site is fancy! I'm not sure what all these options are above this message box I'm typing in!  Thank you for inviting me, Vivian... I'm sure this thread is old, however I have to start somewhere... I am wading through the allegations about Br Yusuf's charities, etc to see if I can come up with something of substance. I'll report whatever facts I am able to dig out of the piles of unadulterated recyclable materials that I have encountered thus far... We can always ask Br Yusuf... So glad you could make it here, Kareema! Don't worry, you have NO WORRIES here! And, yeah, I am well aware that there will always be IGNORANT PEOPLE who will continue to go after Yusuf and his charities, accuse him of such horrific crimes without even a shred of proof to back up their alegations!

Thank you Lovesong, I was considering posting a note on this topic, but you beat me to it.
There is no need for any 'he said /she said' or name calling here. This is a site for and about Cat/Yusuf nothing more. Please keep the arguments from other sites on other sites, better yet, lets try to stop the fighting on other sites as well, show people that we can indeed can get along.
Please if not for me, then for Yusuf and for your own well being. Keep the discussions on Majicat an enjoyable experience for everyone.
