Just got my DVD from German Amazon . Its very poor Quality and quite unwatchable. Should be compatible with UK as they are both region 2, The packaging is tacky and amateurish , think I've been sold a pup , can't complain as I don't speak German . Hey ho

Amazon is only the intermediary between you and a third party seller. This is obviously a bootleged version, as these concerts have never been released officially on DVD anywhere as far as I know.

I'd be asking for a replacement mjtrewhella, as I also received a copy via a friend in Germany who bought it from Amazon. And while the packaging is simple, it's not bad and more importantly, the DVD is very good. I bought the Kcet portion back in 1995 as an official release - it was on video then. The quality is as good as if not slightly better than that tape!
So, I really think you got a dud deal there and somehow need to contact them. I'd be certain that someone at Amazon would understand English.

It's still downloadable from the Veoh link I put up earlier, only the Veoh version has a couple of extras and there's a brief intro after the LA portion from a young Jools Holland!
Here's that link again - you'll need to sign up with Veoh to download it, but it's free and you get a nice media viewer to watch it with - if you want to watch it with the Veoh player.
The Veoh player is also good for people who can't play flv video files e.g. from youtube, you just need to open them with the veoh player.

I've got the same DVD via amazon, cannot affirm the bad quality. Okay, the package is simple, but the concert qualitiy is o.k., I think like jonathamjzero as good as on a video.
I have bought it from the seller, who had the maximum price.

You can contact amazon.de in English, you can write your seller an E-mail. In another case, where I had problems, he answered immediately.

Mjtrewhella, I got this dvd a few months ago, and I'm quite pleased with the quality. I think you should pursue this with amazon.de. Hopefully, they will assist you with an exchange or a refund.
