Yusuf's site announces the acquisition of the www.CatStevens.co.uk domain name. It now points to YusufIslam.org.uk. The issue says "there may be plans to use the name in other ways in the future" ... Wouldn't it be wonderful if the name was used for Yusuf's own Cat Stevens site?! Love, Sanna

Hey, that would be great...Yusuf having his own Cat website..... I doubt it can replace Majicat though. This one is the best.

Hey, I hope Yusuf can get all his names back in his ownership. You know, I find that it to be unfair that anyone can buy a person's name and use it on the internet and the guy whose name it really belongs to it has no rights to it.
It would be hard to top Majicat.
Love, Katie....

Isn't his site a Catstevens site? Turan No, Turan, it's a Yusuf Islam site! Quite a difference! Jill and Katie, I agree with you, it wouldn't be easy to compete with Majicat!!! ;D Love, Sanna

Jill and Katie, I agree with you, it wouldn't be easy to compete with Majicat!!! ;D Love, Sanna LOL, well, seeing as that is the same thing it can be pushed in what ever direction Yusuf pleases. I just can't see discussing how lovely his nose is on his site. And I really appreciate that privilege every once in a while. It being a very fine nose. ;D I can understand wanting some input in what is done in your name. I hadn't thought of that. yep, majicat is fun, as is CScom, and Yusufsown site. They compliment each other. Turan

I can understand that he doesn't want to hear comments like that on his own site. But we can breathe freely here and discuss more than just serious things on this site. They do compliment each other, showing different sides of human senses. We're not robots after all. Emotions are a very special part of us which makes us compassionate and caring people. I don't think that any of us are intending to do anything disrespectful. I wouldn't want to hurt his family for anything in the world. I wish Yusuf and his family much happiness. Peace, Faithfullight

I'd call it prominent, and I like that. No Morgan Fairchild-esque bobbed button noses for me, thanks. -Joanne

If Yusuf wanted it I would give it to him (but I'll say to him I want some Cat merchandise in return! LOL - just kidding) Best wishes, Justin

Haha you're great, Turan (and I also agree about the nose)! Yusuf running a Cat site would be fantastic but nothing could ever replace the haven that is Majicat! I still find it cool how he bought over the UK domain, though and it makes sense (I wouldn't want some stranger out there having lissettecarrera.com or anything). I wonder what he thinks about the OTHER site! - Lissette LOL, well, seeing as that is the same thing it can be pushed in what ever direction Yusuf pleases. I would also give Yusuf the domain rights to my site if he wanted them. He is more entitled to the name Peacetrain.org than I am. Hey, I am not one of those who feels I have to corner the market on Yusuf/Cat's names.... If I am using a name that he wants I will happily give it to him. Hey, my domain only costed me about $20 a year. I can always find another name...LOL Besides, the way I look at it, we are all in this together, to honor a great humanitarian..Yusuf Islam aka Catman. Viv, remember when I uploaded that "Peace Train" photo of Cat on MOL and it took up half the page? I will probably not ever upload a pic to that site again because I fear it would swallow the site. But people thought I purposely made the photo that big. I think it must be big on this site since I just pasted Majicat URL in that prompt. (I thought it would be like a postage stamp) People got very upset about that photo and Cat was fully clothed. If anyone posted that 'handstand' pic a riot would not begin to describe what would happen. It would be a major meltdown...LOLOLOL
Oh, it was a relief when that avatar was deleted. It really was too big and what was funny was your avatar turned out even bigger..hahahahaha

Faithfullight That's what I would have thought, too, Faithfullight, except that the folks over at MOL also deleted my much smaller pic of Cat/Yusuf combined. I followed all the size requirements as laid out in the registration area, but it still disappeared. -Joanne

The problem is I don't care for the avatars they have available there so I put a Cat one up. Let's face it, whose face do most of us enjoy, Pokemon characters or Cat's face. I guess they are trying to keep the Islamic perspective to the site. I can understand that, but I wish I could find a good avatar for my profile. Love, Katie

Joanne, Now that you mention it, I did see your avatar. I thought that it was very nice. Yes, it was as small as the other avatars. I wonder why they deleted it? A'isha, I'm not into pokemon or McDonalds pictures either. The choices weren't very sophisticated. If they are trying to keep an Islamic perspective to the site, then I don't understand how these kiddy images promotes a serious, cultivated religion. Maybe they want to promote a light-hearted site, but then they deleted your avatars! I don't know, I'm confused. It seems like they were ready to take on people with "half-way hulk" and the "terminator", and then the joking "Ronald" being among the first posters. I felt a little leery about the site when it first opened, but then I decided to give it a try. They put a lot of effort into it, so they must have a reason for doing what they do. I'm happy to say that I haven't been booted or reprimanted yet. We'll just have to be patient and see what happens. I'm serious in my conversations and I hope that I would receive respect in return. As many letters I had sent to Yusuf's site about religion and Islam, he had to know what I would say, and the MOL team did tell me that it was OK for me to discuss Islam...and so I am! I appreciate you and Vivian discussing with me. I wish that there were more interaction though, with others as well. Peace, Faithfullight

A'isha, I used the same pic that I use here and over at CS.COM on MOL! I had NO TROUBLE here, but over there, it took THE ENTIRE PAGE! I mean, my post disappeared behind that pic! LOL! I just didn't wait for anyone ele to see it! I figured I better just do it myself! I can't figure out why it is small on other sites, including the 70s site, but on MOL it is HUGE! That just doesn't make sense! And I have NO IDEA how to make it smaller!

Chanman1, My children have grown up and there isn't anyone in my house that watches cartoons anymore. Pokemon came along after they grew out of toons. I don't know any of the names or characters of Pokemon, but to someone who has small children, I'm sure that parents get to know all about those things. I used to know the names of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Thundercats etc when my son watched those shows. My daughter liked My Little Pony and Care Bears, etc.
