Hey Jane can we have the colours back please ..its going to be sooo difficult to keep trying to guess the correct shade when folk specify the colours......  ...oohh go on ...please.. pretty pink please?... ......OK WONT BEG TOO MUCH...and will go with the rainflow...or bow..NOW I'm confused...praps some definition of shades would have helped? No?..not even a twitch of the lip...goooooooon..... |

how does one see a flower I wonder.... hm..... guess some dont seee or believe a world in color or give the rights to others to choose on that when it is a part of the boards.... next they will be taking God out of the School systems .. oh wait they did that already ... whats left .. creative expression ...

Wasn't that hat with the feather in the vid color/green/color?what about the feather...what colour/colour\color was it? cant see properly on the vid?

Since it is being beaten to death, here is what I posted a couple of weeks ago:
"please refrain from using colored fonts for an entire post. Many of us no longer have the eyesight we once did, and some people are using their smartphones or tablets. Black type is much easier to read for all of those reasons."
That request was based on feedback and requests I have heard from other members. The request was not being respected so this change was made. If I can find a way to limit the colors to those that CAN be easily viewed on various devices, I will certainly do so.
Now, back to Yusuf...

Welll I certainly am grateful that I dont have a problem with seeing colors on my smartphones... that would be horrific .. and quite frankly a serious medical issue which then one should seek medical attention for as soon as possible.. with all due respect. .One's eyesight should never not be looked into if they have a problem with seeing dark colors , and I'm serious about that .. that is a symptom .. color?! for sure .. this never was a problem for the years Majicat has been in existence ..havent heard anyone mention it ever. On the other hand I've heard about the annoyance of the >>>> @<<<<< and photos at times being too large ..and that is about it ~~ color... they would have certainly mentioned it to me . I sure would love to know who! The members I've talked with have no problem with it but why would we vote on that .. or anything ... for that matter.. yusuf certainly doesnt paint his songs in black and white .. thank God! Yusuf ... God bless him .. I sure love the video with the green hat !!! I hope that is included if they ever do a DVD .. God Willing .

I never said that people could not see colors. I said that black font is much easier to read on phones, tablets and other devices, but your sarcastic concern for the eye health of other members has been duly noted.
In response to your assertion that people would have told you if the colored fonts bothered them, I can tell you with absolute certainty that that assertion is false. Maybe the people you chose to ask would tell you, but the great majority would not. You can choose to believe that or not. Your poorly-veiled accusation – on the public forum - that I have somehow made this up says far more about your lack of character than it implies about mine.
When Chris asked me if I would moderate the forum did not hesitate to say “Yes.” This is where I have made some wonderful friends, Chris and Annie among them. However, in the few months I have been doing this I have been saddened and disappointed at some of the downright childish behavior on display. I honestly can’t believe that you would be so upset at the site only having black font. All of this over the color of font allowed? Really?
Lastly, how quickly you forget your own words. You posted this on January 17 in the Update on main site and Forum thread:
"I commend you Chris George Jane and Gabi for doing what you are doing .. I'm on board your vision and if I can do anything .. email me please.. I do see what you want to create and I think it will be lovely.
I will email you a few singers sites that you might want to take a loook at ..

I do enjoy the fontcolors like a few of us .. I'm a painter , and I believe in Gods pretty colors .. and enjoyed using them for expressing my feelings about Yusuf the master painter! I really would like to have the font colors back .. maybe you could pick a few you approve of and put them in the TOU? that would be greatly appreciated in my world. I'm the last person to endorse restricting creative expression. But (imagine me smiling as I say this, kindly as I can) it does seem a bit silly to have all of this drama over whether or not to use colored text.
Actually I might have been one of those folks to complain about the colors. I remember one post in particular I had trouble reading against the background I'd chosen; I had to highlight the text in order to see it. My eyesight isn't the best, and that's just the way it is. And if I remember correctly I was told to change my color scheme so I could read the colored fonts better. Isn't that restricting MY freedom of choice, then?
Anyway . . . I get your point, aura & etc. and I agree in theory. But I also see Jane's points. Many of the people on this board aren't exactly young chicks anymore - maybe keeping it in black and white really CAN make it easier for those older eyes to read it. And isn't that what you'd want, really? To be kind?
I read a wise quote recently attributed to Bill Cosby. He said that he didn't know the secret to success, but he did know the secret to failure: try to please everyone.

Hugs xoxoxoxo Dear Peacock, I think I might be older than you !!!lol... and I have eye issues as well.. but perhaps it was someone who used pink yellow or neon green and of course those cant be seen unless highlighted... .. but cant see how one cant see Navy or Brown??? mmmmm can we compromise and utilize the colors that show ?? like a few of the dark ones that I like to use ?? to be kind ? xo |

ok.))))I was thinking .. how you cant believe there is so much question about the color being removed from the yusuf fansite boards ??! and I cant believe that the tools from not a website but yusufs fanpage is being taken away .. .. 2 hemispheres of thought here .. that is the simplicity of it all . if we are all know not to use the pink yellow and neon green lol fonts can be seen with current skins ... and who knows maybe the skins will change and become prettier than this blaise yellow.. or muted green skins .. well I'm sure it will be vamped up abit with the new vision ..that the life of the fans can jump off the page .. as the color fonts add to it and all the smiley faces too .. wait maybe we should also remove the smileys.. they are as .. so many have said .. maybe mostly the guy fans said been used too much and frankly they are yellow like page .. I mean .. why stop at the fonts then ..Ive heard alot of complaining aboutalllll the gooffy smiley'ing .. ...~I like them ..
