Regi!!!!REGI!!!! REGI!!!! I hope you see this!!!!! Go to Teasertnews right now and you will get a ver nice surprise. Read Aluns latest blog, besides his very amusing ways of writing his days experiences, he wrote they were rehearsing 'KING OF TREES!!!!!!They did not manage to play it in Sydneys final concert, but maybe they will fit it in to the setlist in Brisbane tonight!!!! Keeping my fingers crossed just for you!!!!!! I love this! Regii - I think you will never be able to get the smile off your face if he sings this song! Maybe one of your daughters can take a photo of you as you watch the YouTube video that will surely be posted. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, Regii!

How cool in this from Trevor's blog:
"Regarding N Zed as some call it. Meeting Bruce Lynch was a real blast, what a great bloke and fantastic player. Learning Yusuf’s songs, I of course have listened to Bruce’s playing a great deal so to meet the man himself was a real treat. And to see Yusuf, Alun and Bruce, not forgetting Susie (who joined us on “Oh Very Young” in Christchurch) together for the first time in 33 years was a very emotional, I think a few moist eyes were around, I saw some, but will keep it to myself."
I would have loved to have heard that!! What a lucky audience that was.

Yusuf posted this moving blog today:
Yusuf down under... Starting our journey to the Oceania underworld, all I remembered was the vaguest memories of my previous tour. Back in 1974 it was a very rocky time; I was still riding on my hopes towards an unknown destination. The road was dark and borderless, but lined with cheering crowds. Black vinyl was selling in plenitude and record covers were treasured canvases. A rust-golden Buddha was serenely perched on my latest collection of tunes. Perhaps one track was to provide a hint of my flight path – Home In The Sky.
After Madison Square Gardens, where do you go? I went down. With my Bamboozle entourage I headed back to Australia. Playing to thousands of shadowy faces in huge cavernous arenas, ‘The band, the crowds, the limos, the halls and the ticket prices have all gotten bigger…’ Then it became a game of hide-and-seek with my fans not quite knowing if this elusive dove would ever land in their hand.
Now, after thirty six years and a Herculean mountain of spiritual experiences en-route, the bird which carries the word of Love returns. It is beautiful.
The real meaning of this journey with my family, musician friends and crew is in the words I wrote and sang then and now – many have come true. To understand the feeling that flows through my blood, all I can say is that light has now been turned on to the thousands of shadowy faces for the first time; like bright colourful roses each with a story to tell of love and pain – we all shook in the wind together.
‘I don’t need to touch your face to know, and I don’t need to use my eyes to see…’
With Peace and the Love of God,
Yusuf

wow - beautiful. I love how he quoted his song...
It's funny how his songs take on new meaning to him all these years later.
I'm so glad he has come to terms with how important his work as Cat Stevens was, to so many. And how it continues to be...

It's true, how so many of the songs seemed to tell the story of his life, while at the same time, I too can relate to them. I am honored to have known Yusuf and I pray that he will tour here in the US and at least one more time I can see him. Please come to Florida, Yusuf!!

Yeah, me too. It really gave insight into their personalities and how they spent their time when they're not working. I also enjoyed how they described their interactions with eachother. :-)

Completely agree with you. It was almost - ALMOST - as good as being there for the tour, wasn't it
