Just thinking, maybe one of the reasons Yusuf sounded so great at the RAH was that the acoustics of the RAH are outstanding, and just can't be compared to those modern tin can venues, even when you have the best sound techincians working for you.
I have seen the Australian concert dvd, which I am very happy to have in my collection, and hope there will be more coming, but for some strange reason after viewing and listening seperately these video clips from the same Australian dvd, I seem to be enjoying Yusufs performance even more.

Yes the warmth of the venue and .. acoustics are amazing there at RAH yet I noticed a happiness and Joy .. I think it was that He saw lot of people family and friends in the audience ..who knows!!!! it really was a Joy Fest tho' and He did say it was perhaps better than the last time He performed there... He was reallly into it ... Well I am so loooking forward to getting a Australian DVD for my Region . The USA . and for now sooo grateful for Neilthfc's (on you tube ) capture of "Wild World" "Where do the Chidlren Play" "Sitting" 'Miles from No Where " "I Think I See the Light" Father and Son" "Maybe Theres a World" "Dont Be Shy" and "Moonshadow" so professionally from the Royal Albert Hall Concert!! (also Sylvias and Eduardos and Oystermans too !!)

you know to re-iterate why I feel RAH Concert is one of a kind is that when listening to what we have on video of it .. and then to listen to the 1974 concert of Cats in Tokyo Japan , the inflections are almost identical .. in fullness and in carrying out the beat its amazing .. If you dont have that concert in audio I can post a link.. its so uncanny the similarity .. decades later!!! I love it and love that I can hear the similarity... thats why I know it would be better!!

Joking about marijuana is not as propagate legalization of it. Yusuf did not have intention to propagate it....
In my country some musicians openly sing how it is good to smoke and young people adopt that.So under their influence they start to use it regularly. This brings them to conflict with the law ..... So for conclusion:IF GANJA IS ILLEGAL, THAN POPULAR PERSONS LIKE SINGERS SHOULD NOT SING OR EVEN MENTION IT IN AFFIRMATIVE WAY,because they send wrong message to young listeners. And I am not convinced that it is harmless. It appears in urine Even after one month of usage.
But still this regge version is so good. What to think?! When I was young we drank a lot , but just one from my circle become drinker. It is the same with light drags.
I doubt Yusuf would make asides about "Ganja" and "Sauce" if he were singing to school children. As Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr. and so many other saints have observed, speaking out against laws and political situations we perceive to be unjust is a moral imperative. Here in the USA, our experiement in the constitutional prohibition of alcohol from 1919 to 1933 sent the alcohol market underground and created horrific gang violence. Having learned nothing (---or everything, depending on what else you think Nixon and Kissinger were capable of), during the early 1970s we dreamed up "The War on Drugs." As a consequence of its implementation, the USA now imprisions a higher percentage of its citizens (almost all black, of course) than any other western nation. Personally, I will be grateful if Yusuf keeps on singing about Ganja. Reggae flows so naturally from him .... Wouldn't be great if he added Bob Marley's "One Love" to his repetoire ?

to me he is reminiscing of the old days .. I'm loving it as well.. I hope He will sing alot of his other songs as well and think of them as confessional/docu's/reminiscing .. its all good... well maybe except for "Later" or "Hard-Headed Woman" altho' those songs are masterpieces!

Salaam - Peace be with you What was the snippet of the song after it ?? I loved that and I dont believe I've ever heard it before xoxo Peace Christina I called it 'When a door is closing'-it might just be called 'Doors' and Yusuf sang it as part of the Moohnshadow preview part at RAH. Just watched the DVD (AGAIN LOL ;D) And it reminded me that when i first watched it i never really had anyone to ask (Since at the time i wasn't a member)...so anyways where is the full version of this song or has Yusuf only created a small version purposely and just for the musical.....I really hope i can buy it because i love it.... Salaam and God Bless

Salaam - Peace be with you @m Thanks but no i didn't mean that song.... Ok i have done a bit on tinkering with the Aussie DVD and created a single of the song I'm talking about LOL (But i couldn't upload it since it reached the max upload limit on here - so if you want the entire thing that i made then email me and i will send it to you) I have attatched a short clip of the song im talking about - if this doesn't work for you then all you need to do is download VLC Player and install it then it will work a treat. Go to this site and click the top right to install - And anyways VLC is the best software to watch your downloaded movies on LOL www.filehippo.com/download_vlc/Salaam and God Bless Attachments:

:)Yes Affy....closed eyes often seems to show intensity of feeling....like kissing,praying....( :)as though some of the feeling may escape through open eyes...or the open eye will distract..the viewer and the viewed..........open or closed, hmmm I remember we mentioned this a while ago...). or in my case entering the motorway from a slip road..terrified!! ;D
