*******UPDATE*******I sent the two mock-ups below (that Sun created) to Mr. Habashi last week and this is the response I received this morning: Hello Jane,
Sorry for my delayed response.
I must say the designs looks great!
I’m quite sure that the first design can be approved but I will need confirmation on whether the image is okay as it is.
I doubt that the second design will be approved due to the layout of the text, as far as I am aware text will be limited to two lines.
Once I have approval on the design I will get back to you.
In the meantime keep up the good work and our regards to Andrea, Christina, Gabi, Jane, Martina, Regine, Richina, Peacock and suncatcher.

Assistant to the Executive Administrator   I think that is great news, knowing we don't have to start from scratch. I know some people wanted individual names on the tile, but it doesn't seem like that is a possibility unless we can get them all on two lines. I will happily go along with the majority, but I really like the image Sun used on these, and I am fine going with the Majicat name. What does everyone else think?

I prefer not having ".com" on the tile....I think MAJICAT speaks for itself when coupled with the image. Getting closer, thanks for all your hard work!

ah...so neither have been approved as of yet from them .
We might want to ask, how many characters (letters ) are "in a line" for Mohammed said He doubted the way it was made but didnt say for sure as to how many characters,and have an alternate image which perhaps is the dove ? I'm not sure either if Cats image will be approved .. once we know :
1. the size of the font to be used in the line
2. how many characters in a line
3. alternate image just in case
then we can really finalize it all I believe..

I personally would like our initials if we cannot fit the characters as we will find out how many are allowed in each line .
ex.
CC JB SC GM so forth to complete characters prob 21 to each line

if not we will have more than characters than Friends of Majicat so we might want to think of something more ..

As far as "Cat's" image being approved...it looks like Mr. Habashi simply had to check with his collegue for an okay. And since Mr. Habashi is the assistant to the Executive Admin., all we have to know is "who is the Exec. Admin.??" Could it be Yusie, or Majid, or some other "friend of Majicat"?? Hmmm, that would be nice! :-)

That was just one of the first mock-ups we did in order to have something to run by Mr. Habashi, and I didn't have the complete list of names at that time. We'd never forget you! Here's a first attempt at voting. It's a bit of an experiment, so I hope it works out. Since we're allowed one logo and two lines of text, I think it's best to vote for these two things separately: 1. The logo
2. The two lines of text------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1. The logoAs I said I would in previous posts, I've made mock-ups with all the suggestions we've received for logos. We need to vote until we choose one final one. The last two are in color, but if one of them were chosen, it would have to be redrawn as a line drawing so it could be engraved. Although someone suggested the Firecat alone, I put Teaser and the Firecat together because I think they're more recognizable that way. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. |

I chose that text because the "tile" will be there long after we're gone and also because it gives provenance (source of origin/history) to MAJICAT I'm into antiques and provenance is important to authenticity. |
