Was this already posted somewhere? Sorry if it's a repeat.
«Father And Son», «The First Cut Is The Deepest», «Lady D’Arbanville», «Wild World», «Hard Headed Woman», «Moonshadow», «Peace Train» und «Morning Has Broken» hießen die Schallplatten, die sich damals drehten.
Mai in Mannheim. Zum Songprogramm teilt die Agentur mit, der Sänger werde «ausgewählte ,Greatest Hits’ aus seiner Cat-Stevens-Epoche» vortragen, «aber auch einige neue Lieder» vorstellen. kin

German to English translation from Google: Cat Stevens / Yusuf Islam comes to GermanyThe British singer, who inspired with songs like "Morning Has Broken" the hippie-time guest appearances, including in Berlin and Mannheim. He was still a dark curly hair and was named Cat Stevens, when he moved with soft songs hippies. "Father And Son", "The First Cut Is The Deepest, " "Lady D'Arbanville, " "Wild World, " "Hard Headed Woman, " "Moonshadow, " "Peace Train"and "Morning Has Broken" were the names of record Which were then turned. That the British singer, who had preached the 60s and 70s music, the gentleness, his career ended suddenly, sold his instruments for charitable purposes and disappeared in the ashram, met a lot of time on the head. Made in the 90's Cat Stevens, now converted to being talked about again. Yusuf Islam, he called himself now for his new religion, was smoothly combed hair, beard and glasses and operating in London, a Qur'anic school. With now 62 years will the man who is officially Steven Demetri Georgiou (he is the son of a Greek and a Swede) occur the first time since 1976 back in Germany. As the Frankfurt concert agency reported Lieberberg Cat Stevens plans to host games in five cities, including 14 May in Berlin and on 29 May in Mannheim. The song sharing program with the agency, the singer will perform "selected, Greatest Hits' from his Cat Stevens-era", "but also some new songs" introduce. kin O2 World, Berlin, 14 May 2011, Arena Mannheim, 29 May 2011, a 20 clock. Here's the google translation of an earlier announcement: Press release from 17.12.2010 | 16:18 MLK - Marek Lieberberg concert agency Return to the poetry of the Troubadours geniusCat Stevens after 35 years for the first time on tour Yusuf Islam with the soundtrack of his early years Concerts in May in Hamburg, Oberhausen, Berlin, Munich and MannheimCat Stevens was the supreme musical poet of his generation. After 35 years he returns to the concert stage, he had left voluntarily on his spiritual journey to find personal fulfillment as Yusuf Islam. Now the ultimate folk-rock troubadour have made peace with his biography, the timeless songs of his Erfolgsära that made him world famous, and even today remains in the hearts of fans as one of the greatest performers of all time. The enigmatic songwriter and sensitive superstar is the first time since his legendary "Majikat" project in 1976 on tour in Germany. Hamburg, Oberhausen, Berlin, Munich and Mannheim, 10 to 29 May, the tour stops, where is Yusuf Islam, in particular selected from his Cat Stevens Greatest Hits-era pay tribute, but also presents some new songs.More than 100 million records documenting popularity, respect and affection for a song canon, who has since none of its charm and its authenticity is lost and deprived the public long ago had to be. Albums such as "Mona Bone Jakon", "Tea for the Tillerman", "Teaser and the Firecat", "Catch Bull At Four, Foreigner," "Buddha And The Chocolate Box," "Numbers", "Izitso" and in particular the soundtrack of the cult movie "Harold and Maude" have been deeply imprinted in the minds of fans. Hymns like "The First Cut Is The Deepest," "Lady D'Arbanville," "Wild World", "Hard Headed Woman," "Moonshadow," "Peace Train," "Morning Has Broken," "Can not Keep It In, "" Oh Very Young, "" Another Saturday Night "and" I Think I See The Light "and" If You Want To Sing Out, Sing Out "are the magic soundtrack of a career that is always a passionate, yearning Search marked for knowledge and fulfillment was. Steven Demetre Georgiou was born in 1948 in London, the son of a Greek-Cypriot father and Swedish mother. His parents ran a café in London's West End, the heart of the show business as the British music industry. The young Steven had two passions, music and art. Important impulses of his young Leonard Bernstein's West Side Story (1958) and the Beatles (1963) were. He got his first guitar, became interested in blues and folk music and decided to become a composer. Cat Stevens played in pubs and clubs than in 1966 producer Mike Hurst was aware of him. The first successes came with pop songs like "I Love My Dog", "Matthew & Son" and "Here Comes My Baby" field. In 1969 he fell ill with tuberculosis live dangerously. It took several months until he had recovered from this. And in that time he began to put his past life in question and to search for answers. When he went public again in 1970, he had changed and undergone a change of musical direction, which revealed a new, more intense artistic quality and caused him to rising introverted, emotional songs to world star. He intuitively articulated fears and hopes of young people, allied himself so with the aura of a million audience. The "Mona Bone Jakon" album was the beginning, before "Tea For The Tillerman" and "Teaser and the Firecat" opened the gates for good. Every album that Cat Stevens published until 1978, also reflected the ongoing search for fulfillment and a key to his spiritual life. The trigger for a decisive impulse was the traumatic experience of almost drowning. Cat Stevens was surprised when swimming before Malibu Beach from the strong waves. The legend would have it, that he cried in desperation to God for help and the sea actually dismissed him from his embrace. 1977 Cat Stevens converted to Islam and took his religious as Yusuf Islam peace. He gave up his career and donated most of his assets and income charitable organizations. He has since learned, Cat Stevens and his music as part of his accepting itself. The concerts are an expression of this knowledge and a positive attitude to the sections of his life that connect him with his fan base. You no longer have to some of the best songs of the pop era live without. Just a note: If you use yahoo and search with "Lieberberg yusuf islam" you'll get 51 results, all in German, but you can translate immediately with babel.
Actually, they're not all about Yusuf Islam, and they're not all in German, but there's plenty about the upcoming tour.

Soitis - I am SO GLAD you will be there! Perhaps you can go to 2 of the concerts?
We will definitely meet there - I think we have to ask our German Majicatters to organize those. I had a tough enough time just getting the tickets without knowing any German!
Good to see you, Soitis!

I made a decision - based on a gut feel - to pass on this tour. Don't know why exactly - but we'll be in the UK for a Clapton concert on the 20th - and could have easily gotten to Germany before or after the date in the UK. My inner gut - said "no". I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to see him in Dublin (let's not go there again - LOL) - that I sense something else - but no not what it is.......... Everyone that is going - have the time of your life. My daughter likes a group called Green Day - and their writer Billy Joe - ( ?) sings a song "Hope You Had the Time of your life" . This is my wish for all attending - all the shows - one of the shows. Live in the moment! :-)

Maybe that gut feeling is that there will be a tour in the US, and you should hold out for it. That would be a dream come true for us majicatters here. . . You never know.

I am concerned with him coming into the US after this German tour - my feelings are he needs to come next year before the election. The election year will be pure chaotic here - and he has to be careful here... My gut never fails me though - we'll see what it is as time rolls on - thank you suncatcher.................

My gut never fails me, either, and it is telling me very clearly to go. Maybe whatever is telling you not to go has nothing to do with Yusuf or the tour, but rather something personal.
I don't think Yusuf has to be careful here even in an election year. He has been here several times since "that incident." He recorded much of Roadsinger here. I think our government is over that whole thing; if they weren't he wouldn't be able to come here so freely.

My only gut feeling, and the hope of my heart, is that Yusuf will one day tour in the US. I can't wait, and I'll do my darndest to be at a concert when he does tour here.
