Firstly, may I say as this board's owner, welcome back to so many of you. This board exists to celebrate the genius that is Cat Stevens, Majicat was created in awe of his work and the affect he has had on so many lives. Personally, I can’t thank him enough. But, we are all entitled to our own views and I believe constructive criticism surely can only strengthen his bond with his fans. Also, it's very true that you can’t please everyone all the time. Even on this board changes I made, whilst welcomed by some drove others away! You can’t win!
So, personally, I’ve never even made it to The a Red Room. I paid for Jzeros membership but, for some reason, they just can’t get me into the room. I await further developments from a very helpful,and concerned staff!
The new album disappointed me in some ways. Whilst my favourite Cat Stevens albums are the first three of his comeback through their divine simplicity and clarity, I also loved the 60's stuff which brought me to Cat Stevens in the first place. So listening to revised versions of the songs I love was never really going to do it for me, I’m afraid. But whilst I do love the 'new' stuff on the new album I still much prefer the originals but that is just my opinion. Yusuf says he has a lot of new material and I really look forward to hearing that. In time, I guess I’ll grow to love this album too.

I'm pleased to see someone else enjoyed the 60's music from Cat, it was those old songs that first attracted my attention, I love my dog and even I'm gonna get me a gun |

My heart always leads me back home, and Majicat will always be a home away from home. I feel this is where I belong, this is where it all began for me. Remembering, and celebrating Cat Stevens/Yusuf, the person who bought so many wonderful people together, people who became good friends, people who will always have a special place in my heart. Although it may be hard for some, and I can understandand, and respect the reasons why, it would be a great time for a reunion, to remember the good times, and to leave the bad behind. Even if it never happens, and as time seems to be moving very fast, it's nice to know the door is always open to spend time to relive a signicant time of my life. |

It’s lovely to see many of our long-term friends returning to site. As there was so little activity, I had sincerely considered closing this board down but the renewed interest has encouraged me to keep it running. There is still so much information here to be gleaned from past postings and that’s impossible to find anywhere else.
This has always been happy place for folk to meet, make new friends and discuss great music. I guess, once Yusuf's new board opened folk felt there was no need for this one!
However, enjoy your time here! Welcome one and all! 😀

Hi all,
I think Leonard has a good point! Yes, it’s been a while since I updated this board but so few are using it which is why I nearly closed it. Of course, there is much material here which needs to be retained as it’s a precious source for those researching a Cat Stevens. Any thoughts or suggestions would be warmly welcomed although I can’t promise to implement them. It does take a long time to change things and, like most of you, my time at present is pretty full.
Any help with moderation would be appreciated.
Any thoughts?
