This is now confirmed (03.07.07), Yusuf will be performing in Hamburg (HSH Nordbank Arena) on the Live Earth Concert in Germany!  This 2 German TV Channels: N24 Germany + Pro 7 Germany will be broadcast LIVE the Live Earth Concert in Hamburg! Wow, that was SWEET! I was very happy that Yusuf chose to sing "Ruins", and I really love that Stevie Wonder song, "Saturn", that he sang at the end. I hope he records it on his next CD!
And in a way, I'm happy that he didn't sing "Peace Train"--people come to expect that, I think, and it's nice to change course sometimes.
I hope that everyone got a chance to see it--if I understood things correctly, it will be available to watch on streaming video from the liveearth website.

I've still got goosebumps ;D ;D Yusuf was absolutely fantastic and the crowd went wild! 1. Where do the Children Play 2. Midday (he smiled when the amps squeeked loudly) 3. Ruins 4. Wild World (Zulu, but Baby Baby as Ladyhelen said about 1st July) 5. Stevie Wonder's "Saturn" 6. ?? Joey said Peace Train Encore, which I missed  After Midday, Yusuf said that he has been away from music for a long time and it was great to be back on stage and that a cause like this really was an honour. He also said that children who have just arrived into this world their lives were already in ruins. He said that Stevie Wonder's song "Saturn" is a brilliant song for today. I thought Yusuf was very comfortable on stage which was so heartwarming. Well Well Done Yusuf |
