Bella, thanks ever so much for the mp3 files. I love listening to the concert, because you realize how little Yusuf's voice has changed since the Cat days. When watching, I'm just concentrating on that, but just listening, you hear everything in the music and Yusuf's gorgeous voice. Just to let you know, when I clicked on "Wild World", WDTCP/Midday played. There are two "Children/Midday" files and no "Wild World". Thanks again, Bella!! Thanks for telling me about this, Waterside! Sorry about that...there seem to have been lots of technical difficulties for me lately. I think that I have corrected the problem now, though. Everyone, please let me know if you notice anything else that isn't right. I agree, just listening to the music is a different experience from watching the videos, and I really enjoy focusing on the sound--I guess the video is a bit distracting.... And Vivian, I'm sorry that you're having trouble downloading these. Do you know anyone else with a PC who has had good luck downloading files? These mp3s will easily fit on a CD. If you can get the files onto your hard drive, it should be easy to load them into iTunes. Bella

Thanks Bella, My computer does not have a CD burner, so making a CD is out of the question, but I am still trying to get them on my I Pod, so at least I can carry them around with me. I guess I will keep trying.
Peace,Vivian

Then you could import the files to iTunes. Just a thought, might not work for you. Bella

Heavily edited is an understatement. Since Yusuf isn't even on either the CD or the DVD, I will be buying neither. THEIR LOSS and ours!! Let me know if an edition of this concert is released with Yusuf's part, and I will order right away.
Peace,Vivian

Well, for example... Shakira is also missing... so, if she is not attractive enough, then Yusuf...

These type DVD's are a little worrysome because they won't have everything on them. They get edited too much. Pretty heavily edited, IMHO. -Joanne Heavily edited is an understatement. And I totally agree with Vivian. This is really disappointing. Thank goodness, we still have Glaucus's videos and Bella's mp3s Many thanks to you, glaucus, for the wonderful stereo videos! I was thinking to myself, "gee, these sound so good, I'd like to add the songs to my music player." So I extracted the audio into mp3 files...if anyone else is interested in having these, you can listen to or download them from www.esnips.com/web/YusuffolderWhat a joy it is to have these gorgeous performances! A friend suggested that maybe Yusuf is holding back so he can release a CD just with his music.
Maybe she's right.

Thank you, Anette. The joy I see in this photo reminds me of Muse's post, which is one of my favorites in this thread: lucy13 said: love the passion in his voice again ------------------------------ This is what caught me, too! Hearing that passion come through so clearly was wonderful. Especially in Ruins, which was such a great performance! Throughout the set he had a very energized crowd to draw his own energy from and he really seemed to be in his element. You have to give a lot of credit to the musicians on stage with him...he has made some good choices for his band and they were terrific. They especially seemed to have a lot of fun with Saturn. . . . I hope Yusuf's performance at Live Earth will give him the momentum to keep performing...both large and small venues! I can't wait to hear what he does next time. ~Sun~

Thank you, Anette! Yes - it's disappointing about the CD, but maybe Lady Helen's friend is right: "A friend suggested that maybe Yusuf is holding back so he can release a CD just with his music.
Maybe she's right."I hope so! ~Sun~

Has anyone noticed that Yusuf, at 59 years old, doesn't seem to have a potgut? I don't believe I've read anywhere that he works out so it must be just something he's blessed with. Couldn't have happened to a better guy.
