Wow, Gizem, thanks for this great find! Yes, Gabi and I were lucky to be in the right place at the right time. I'm just sorry they didn't get her in the video, too.

Hello all,
There will be an interview with Yusuf Islam on Australian TV on channel 10 on a show called The Project. The show starts at 6:00PM AET. Hopefully they will put this interview online as they've done with some of the others.
Laters!

Hey Gizem,
Thanks for finding the link. I watched the interview on TV just before leaving for the theater to see Moonshadow. I think it's great that he is revisiting some of his early songs, like Where Are You.
Cheers,
Mike

Thank you for this great find, Gizem!! To be honest I don't really had visual memories of this great instant - one of the greatest in my life - and this little snippet of Yusuf turning around and talking to us bring them back. I took two pictures of him, but unfortunately I didn't use the flash as he was standing right in front of me. So they are of bad quality

I seem to remember that Jane met Yusuf and the Missus once before, backstage on the European tour, if I'm remembering correctly. I don't remember if Gabi was there or not.

Regii (flemishfangent) and I - along with a few others - met him and "the Missus" after the concert in Oberhausen last year. No, Gabi was not there, so I guess that is why her hands were shaking while taking the pictures of him in Melbourne!

Do you remember Doğan Ür? He drew Yusuf's Moonshadow illustrations. In summary, now he's drawing Yusuf's childhood, his life (starting with his father's small town Tala, his mother and their marriage etc...) He says "We met in 2004. He came to my mother's home, played my guitar in my room. Sometimes we used to work in Yusuf's home opposite the Suleymaniye Mosque, sometimes in London or Dubai. We argued a lot with Yusuf *abi (*big brother). (hmn I don't know how can I translate it in English. but "argue" means a sweet discussion here, like brotherly.) He was perfectionist. He was a painter also.He says "I drew a drowning scene for the first drawings but the story (the musical's story) has changed, so they didn't use it."30.06.2012 (you can see more pictures and the interview here) www.zaman.com.tr/haber.do?haberno=1310979#

Yay!!!! That is FANTASTIC news, G-One, and adds some early fireworks to our 4th of July celebrations today! Just talked to hubby, and we will see it in London if it is showing there next summer. I'd like to also visit Blandford, England where my mom was stationed as an American Army Nurse during WW II. We will make a vacation of it! If it's not showing on the West End next summer, then we will definitely catch it whenever it comes to Broadway! ;D ;D

Gabi, I don't mean to steal your thunder, but I'm going to post the link on Yusuf's FB page to see if I can get the webmaster to respond and verify!
I can't wait for more detail, like WHEN it's going to be in London. Summer is the best time for traveling for me. This summer my husband has been receiving medical treatments so Australia was out of the question - but London or New York - yessss!

I think I did mention that it would be getting a new home and Yusufs goal is to Broadway... no need to verify .. I heard it from the Ultimate Source himself, that it will be starting with more of everything ..more than likely a new director, actors and everything as it gets ready to eventually get to the Epidemy of Homes .. Broadway.. it must get to West End... He knew it all along .. #GreekPower Yusuf is one of those magical Greeks that when he has a dream he will make it all come true to the way he envisions it .. its an innate impulse in him ... !! (of course with God!) Alleluia!
