Regardless, it is really great to be able to listen back on some of this stuff with the benefit of knowing how things "ended up" Thanks Christine & friends for bringing this to us!! I too want to THANK CHRISTINE, for sharing this PRICELESS radio interview with us! It helps us to thoroughly understand just WHAT he was going through-the good/bad of the BUSINESS end of the music biz, and this interview IN PARTICULAR was VERY revealing of just WHY he made the decisions he did, both THEN and NOW! It was FASCINATING for me to listen to the FANS: their spontaneous, totally HONEST comments reminded me of the FRENZY he created at that time-a real walk down "Memory Lane" for sure! Like Miss Kitty, I just LOVE LOVE LOVE any opportunity to hear Cat HIMSELF talk-ALWAYS fascinating, regardless of his moods. ;D Listening to his talk of death(and extrapolating on it at THAT) made me think of THE MAN I MET that day at U.C.L.A.:rushing about comically looking for a lost car(for all the world like a little kid looking for his puppy), gleefully writing little witticisms on my poster, laughing about his former shyness-you gotta SMILE to think about how his life is NOW as compared to THEN. I think too, that time has HEALED much of the angst he felt at THAT time about touring. That he could discuss both his FIRST American performance(the KCET T.V. concert)AND his Majikat Tour: laughing and smile so HONESTLY, declaring his GOOD memories about them. THANKS again, Chris! ;D Hugs, Shirley

Thanks guys.. I feel vindicated... LOL..did anyone else notice that it really wasn't like a face to face real time interview. It sounds like he sat down with him and asked a few questions..probably in his hotel room, and then edited the whole thing to fit into his agenda .. what with the songs and all. I mean we would hear Ian ramble on for a bit and there would be some kind of reference to a question and then Cat would answer. How can we really be certain that the answer Ian chose to play was actually for the semi question we just heard. Just a thought.. Man I can be analytical when I want to be.... I am real good with conspiracy theories too...hahahahahaha
~~cheers again MK

I just finished listening to the interview. It was wonderful to listen to Yusuf. I was a fan of Neil Diamond and Elton John too! Great to hear comments from them as well. Just listening to Cat brings out my own feelings about being in the spotlight and worrying about how people try to exploit you and misrepresent your intentions. I feel so sorry for Yusuf. I wish that he felt more happiness.

That's what is so scarey about the media, they broadcast what they wish to boot up ratings, etc.
Thanks Christine for sharing this interview on Majicat. It was truly an awesome treat!

my favourite part of it was .. any point in which he was speaking! even speaking, his voice was lovely (still lovely) i've said it before and i'll say it again, if he recited the phone book, i'd be captivated, even if i had my eyes closed. I AGREE 100% ;D Shirley
