My guess is that it means the warmth of love and acceptance, as opposed to the chill of being shunned or excluded or ostracized...

Jancat does make alot of sense, but I would say more to the point of letting your feelings and emotions out, instead of keeping them bottled up inside waiting to explode!

Vivian, you know that if Cat said that to you it would be so hot over there that you and he would combust.  Now, I always thought that he was saying that he is a comfort to whoever he is singing to in the song, like he would hold her close and console her. I guess he is directing this toward a girl, but it could be to noone in particular, just anyone who is needing comfort. Love, A |
