Would like you all to know that my mother who is 87 still loves and enjoys YUSUF/CAT music. Living in her house in Australia then she had to listen to his music whether she liked it or not. Very soon she got hooked on . There was music of cat in the house everyday. From 1972 till this day were she is living with me in Greece , she has moved on to YUSUF music which is very soothing and gentle on her soul and mind. She gets bored with TV as her eye sight isn't the best so she prefers to lay back and watch the Porchester Hall DVD with me. She doesn't mind at all when I turn up the volume because her hearing is a bit low.
Her favourite songs of the past were Lady Darbanville , morning has Broken and best of all Ruby Love because it has a few lines in Greek and she can sing along. On An Other cup she loves Maybe there,s a World and you wouldn,t believe she just loves Heaven which she slowwly rocks to the music and sings along in her very broken english. I can understand my two daughters getting excited when listening to HEAVEN but mum. But I guess because it has such a beautiful introduction and melody you never get tired of listening to this song.
I love my mother dearly for this. She gives me so much JOY as I will always remember the times we spent together listening to his music besides all the othe sacrifices she has made for me and all her great lifes wisdom she has passed onto me.I know many a times she enjoys the same things asI do because like every mother it brings love and joy to see her child happy, well, and content. I dearly hope she will live to see and hear more good songs from YUSUF ISLAM and maybe the new musical MOONSHADOW..
One thing she has taught me, to live you have to make it happen and never give up on hope and dreams, be positive and believe in God....... May he keep her safe and well.........
