I love the song Roadsinger... what a pretty / but sad song. It does sound a little bit more like his balladeer years.

Thanks Suzie. Good interview.
I noticed most of his new things, say "Cat Stevens" then "Yusuf"
I don't feel so bad now, a couple of years ago when I asked Yusuf is I can have a photo taken with him, I actually called him "Cat" and then quickly corrected myself.

Boots and Sand may not be on the album, it all depends on how it does as a single...

Roadsinger and The Rain sound awesome. He pretty much ruled out going on a tour anytime soon though I hope he can be convinced otherwise!

Why was I sooooo late seeing this. The interview was posted yesterday, and I was up very late, and I didin't notice the interview. Not that it matters, just thought it is a bit strange. ???Is there usually a time lapse before posts actually appear on the board? Anway thankyou SuzieQ for your great finds. You always have a way of finding these treasures, and sharing them with us. Very grateful to you. Loved the interview and getting a chance to hear some of the new songs. It makes the wait a little less painfull. Once again he is very relaxed, opens up, and is easy to talk to, and always good to hear him laugh. Even though it is disapointing, I think he is being very realistic about not being able to tour. So anyone who is having second thoughts, and is able to go to London in May, should make a decision soon. This might be our last chance. I think most of us will slowly learn to live with this Thanks SuzieQ

He pretty much ruled out going on a tour anytime soon though I hope he can be convinced otherwise! Was this interview done before or after the myspace note about the "small world tour"? Timing could be the key. Maybe he did change his mind! [hoping, hoping, hoping] joni...

Hm, those two songs sounds very promising... after first few seconds of "Roadsinger" those acoustic guitars riff reminds me of Bob Dylan's "Desolation Row" ... a one of greatest song by Dylan... so, maybe "Roadsinger" would be one of the greatest song by Cat Yusuf ( it seems that after after Cat Stevens now we have Cat Yusuf

Well upon listening to the interview again he doesn't actually rule our going ont our ever just not one in which he'd perform to stadiums with like 60,000 people in them! He says that if he does perform it'll be to a much smaller, more intimate, audience!
His voice sounds much more like Cat Stevens! Roadsinger sounds just plain amazing!

He always said that such performs like Porchester hall were more his thing and i don't think they would bring a message on his space that is untrue Regine
