Am I tuning into Yusuf's voice of today or is Yusuf tuning back into his own voice - he seems to be flowing and floating as if he's found that flying carpet upon which his voice once rode. The gift that once was, has indeed risen and become the gift that is! and what a magical gift that voice is...

Helen, I was blown away by his version of 'Don't be shy', it sounded to me, very very close to his young voice. He did remarkably - amazingly well, to come back with the voice he did on 'An Other Cup' - having not sung like that in those 27 or so years. Yes, he exercised his vocals with his muslim songs and praises, but it seems as though the current & very regular use of his singing voice, has his voice soaring again! It's so good - and, doing all this at 60? Yep... I'm blown away!

Jonathan, did he perform the whole "Don't be shy" or just a part of it? I missed the beginning and catch only 20 seconds til the end so I am not sure if he did just a short "preview" of song... it sounded like that to me... Also, I found that also his version in Porchester concert was superb, it sounded like original one... great voice and guitar playing

I'm sure he sang all of it. Also it made a change in his interview for him not to mentioned God or anything about faith. He did sound like the young Cat. Wish he made a come back years ago when most of us fans were still in our 20's and not waited till most of us now are into our 50's and have aches and pains ;D ;D

Missed the whole show By reading your posts, it must have been a great show. I hope they keep it on, so you can listen again. By the sounds of it, he must be in great form. He can't keep it in anymore, even if he tried. ;D Helen YI/CS's voice will sooth away almost every ache and pain. Tomorrow you'll see the difference.

The songs Don't be shy and All kinds of flowers are the most he's sounded like CS since he's come back. Great stuff. Cheers, Mike
