I read Yusuf's latest post on his blog and this last part just touched me:
In the end, I can only thank God for the wonderful welcome back to the road I’ve received. And thank all of you who came and joined in the historic musical moments, where past and present met… and made up.
Peace
Yusuf
In just three words, he confirmed what we have all been saying, that he seems to have made peace with the past he left behind and is embracing what Cat meant to all of us and obviously, to him as well. Just as Joanne said she did, there were a couple of times last Tuesday night that I closed my eyes and heard only Cat, not Yusuf. And of course we all saw Cat on the stage as well. I am so excited at the thought of what we will see of him in the near future!

((((Jane)))) you made me emotional as Yusuf did with that post. That post itself is like a song. I'm reading it over and over. It's awesome that some of you were personally in that circle of embrace, at a vital juncture in Yusuf's life. And are transmitting that energy to the rest of us. Me too! And I wonder what it is in my karma that's drawn me into it, out of nowhere so to say?

Yusuf" I think he finally understands what we all lost, and what he has just come to understand....we loved him then, now and always. Please Yusuf, don't go away again without sufficient warning.

I couldn't agree more, Jane, Maya, Richina and Regine, your impressions having captured exactly the way I feel about Yusuf, and his return to sharing his many gifts with us. And all of your thoughts and feelings so beautifully stated. Thank you, and thank you, Yusuf. -Bud

Without Cat Stevens .... there would be no Yusuf Islam. They are, for lack of a better term - blended. Cat is Yusuf, and Yusuf is Cat. I'm glad he feels peace with that. I still see Cat in that smile, and eyes, and the sense of humor. But I also have immense respect for him as Yusuf. Yusuf - Welcome Home I don't think you realized just how very much your music AND message has been missed. ~Peace all~ .... Nancy

Do you guys remember the guy who kept yelling "Cat!" during the show? He wasn't too far behind me. I loved that!
Also, when he was talking about Boots & Sand and one of us Americans yelled "Sorry about that!"
Classic moments!
