There is an article of Yusufs' new CD in the newest issue of Mojo. I placed it up on line. You can read it here. Mojo - In The Studio This Month - Yusuf IslamAlso, isn't it nice to see that Alun and Jean both played on the new CD?

How wonderful! to have it confirmed that Yusuf is again playing the piano and keyboards. But if this album has been ready since December 2005, why do we have to wait sooooo long. Yusuf, certainly knows how to tease!
Thanks Christine for posting this, it has made my day. Now I'm even more impatient to hear this album. (If that's possible)

Any way we can get our own copy of this. Is this sold in stores such as Borders or Barnes and Noble?
Peace,Vivian

SusieQ, it makes one wonder just how long Yusuf has been playing these instruments!! This really is exciting. BTW.. I wish Gerry Conway was featured on the cd as well . I'm sure he was probably busy with Fairport Convention and Pentangle and that is why he isn't playing on the cd. Well, not that we know of any way

I only received a scan of the Yusuf Islam article from Murphy. So, it has a 14 page article on Dylan!! Well, I might just have to make a trip to Borders, after hearing this!! Thanks for the tip!! ;D

"Among the musician who contributed are Cat Stevens’ guitarist Alun Davies, and keyboardist Jean Roussel, double bass player Danny Thompson, string player John Themis, percussionist Luis Jardim and former ‘Damned’ member Lu Edmonds, who played oud, darbuka and saz. On one song additional vocals were provided by Youssou N’Dour."
Awesome!! Besides Alun, I'm especially thrilled to see Jean Roussel involved again, and Youssou N'Dour! VERY cool.

It's always nice to hear that Yusuf's old Cat buddies are contributing. This is getting better and better all the time.

So nice to read that article, thanks! Just knowing that Alun and Jean worked with Yusuf gives me a feeling this album is going to be something special. There was always so much magic created in the 70's, I can hardly wait to experience some of it once more. Jackie
