I was browsing through Jamal records again tonight and couldn't help but getting such a good feeling while listening to the little gem written by Yusuf and sung by Zain Bhaikha son, 'My Mother', from the 'I Look, I See' CD I'll never forget the first time I heard it at the XM radio interview. And watching Yusuf smiling as they played the song for us. I am sure others will remember that day as well. What a wonderful little song. I'd love to see Yusuf sing this sweet little song. www.jamalrecords.com/artist_yi.html

I have the I look I see Cd, so I have the song. But I agree. It would be so sweet to hear Yusuf sing this song.
Peace,Vivian

''Yusuf Islam - My Mother''
(Teacher): “The Prophet Muhammad (sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam) told us that we must obey Allah and His messenger at all times. But who else did he tell us to listen to, and be close to?
(Children): “My Mother!”
Who should you give your love to? Your respect and your honour to? Who should you pay good mind to - after Allah, And Rasullullah? Comes your Mother, Who next? Your Mother Who next? Your Mother And then you Father
Cause who used to hold you And clean you and clothe you? Who used to feed you And always be with you? When you were sick, stay up all night, Holding you tight? That’s right no other, your Mother
Who should you take good care of, Giving all your love? Who should you think the most of - after Allah And Rasullullah? Comes your Mother, Who next? Your Mother Who next? Your Mother And then you Father
Cause who used to hear you Before you could talk? Who used to hold you Before you could walk? And when you fell, who’d pick you up? Clean your cut? No one but, your Mother, your Mother
Who should you stay right close to? Listen most to? Never say no to – after Allah And Rasullullah? Comes your Mother, Who next? Your Mother Who next? Your Mother And then you Father
Cause who used to hug you And buy you new clothes? Comb your hair and blow your nose? And when you cried who wiped your tears? Knows your fears? Who really cares? Your Mother
Say Alhamdulillah, Thank you Allah Thank You Allah for my Mother

Bamboozle, I am so sorry to hear about your mother. I lost my own precious mother a little over a year ago. It was really a trying time for the family, during her illness, and even now. I miss her dearly. Not a day goes by that I do not think of her.
My heart, prayers and thoughts go out to both you and your sweet mother. May she have many more years of smiles to provide as gifts to you.

It is true though who is the one person you call when your not feeling good or if you had a accident. also like me when I`m at work I alway call my mother to see how she is when, I`ve at work.. Your mother is alway there when things go wrong your mother is there as your guide your friend and someone you can call your best friend YOUR MOTHER...

Sorry to hear of your worries Meg, I wish you all the strength you need for now and the future. I know how draining all the pain and emotion can be. May God Bless Your Mother, You and Your Family. Just remember to make the most of the time you have together, make every day count. Sue
