Wow, this really is a great review. Things are looking up nicely for our Yusuf. How nice.

Great review. The only difference I have with the review, is that I give it five stars instead of four.
Peace,Vivian

Miriam Zendle wasn't to complementary on Yusuf's lyrics though was she?

Miriam Zendle wasn't to complementary on Yusuf's lyrics though was she? Yes, I noticed this as well. My guess is that she isn't or wouldn't be a Foreigner Suite fan. This must be why Yusuf lost the 5th star. I personally love the lyrics.

I glossed over that part. LOL I don't take even ambiguous criticism well.

There you have it... "growly, throaty vocals" they say. Very topical! It's a great update of the song.

Well, four out of five stars looks good to me! Way to go, Yusuf! Honestly my first time hearing the song I was a bit disappointed that he used parts of Foreigner w/ the lyrics changed, but after hearing it numerous times more, I really like it. It fits Yusuf's life now, so why not! I like it more each time I hear it, but of course, not everyone is going to. Still, for the most part, the review was a good one, I am glad for Yusuf and happily awaiting the release of the cd. By the way, great review, Gizmo!

This must be why Yusuf lost the 5th star. I personally love the lyrics. I'm guessing that perhaps she has never heard the Foreigner Suite. Most of us know & love FS & we are used to the build up to the fantastic ending. Speaking for myself, in my imagination, I ‘hear’ Heaven as sort of flowing gently on from the lyrical end of FS. The passion/lust of youth flowing onto an acknowledgment of a long lasting true love that he is experiencing now. Without any knowledge of FS, I can understand (but not agree with) why she may think of the lyrics as being trite. Do you know what I'm trying to say? I'm not very good at expressing myself. Linda

It took me a listen or two, but as I said previously, each time I hear it I love it more. I like your idea of Heaven flowing off the end of Foreigner Suite and how you described it, well expressed and wonderful!

Beautifully said Linda and Salsabil, heaven does have an almost serene sequel or (ending) quality to FS. I wasn't quite sure what to think of it after my first few listens to it. (I'm not quite sure what I was expecting) But, the more I listen to heaven, the more I have come to appreciate it's alluring quality. Linda you expressed yourself far better than I usually ever do.

Thanks Salsabil & Christine.
I hope you haven't opened 'Pandora's Box' with your encouragement. I may no longer agonise over 'bursting into print".
;D

Burst away, Linda. I completely "get" what you're saying and agree. :-)
