Maybe this has been said before but a friend just remarked how much "Midday" is evocative of "Ruins". Especially with this guitar version. Great songs!

I've got the entire thing in MP3 format. For those of you who may have had difficulty and/or missed it and/or will not be able to access the rebroadcasts: www.jmcdesign.org/csyi/sirius.htmIt's uploading as I type, so please be patient if it's not quite there yet. It's 76.25MB. -Joanne

I keep listening to "The Wind" with these three guitars!!! This is as good as on Teaser if not better! WOW!!! Well if that's true it will be nice to hear it! Thanks for everyone's perspective on the songs and performances. Music critique is not my forte, so it's nice to read other's reactions and thoughts. Joanne, pic looks fantastic!! Patiently waiting... ;D

Thanks so much for the download Joanne. It beats the crappy version I recorded.

My pleasure, likecat. There is one little "bloorp" sound in the midst of the interview. I'd disabled just about everything I could think of that would cause an unbidden sound file to play, but unfortunately, I'd forgotten one: Windows Updates! LOL -Joanne

Okay, the picture is fantastic, but I went to open it and nothing happens. It doesn't even begin to load. I tried saving it, and it still wouldn't work. HELP! Peace,Vivian Viv, the MP3 is in the .zip file, which is the file you download when you click the "click here" link. (It is not playable directly from my site.) After you download the .zip file, you need to unzip it in order to play the MP3. Has anyone else had problems? I intended this to be a fairly easy process; my apologies if it isn't. -Joanne

Yes. They all want you to BUY a zip extractor now. They used to be free. This must be a recent development. PowerArchiver, WinZip, and they're all at least 20 bucks. Right now I'm trying to decide whether to purchase PowerArchiver or WinZip. I'm really not in the mood to read a file called "the benefits of buying WinZip". Off to look for a free zip extractor, back in a few.

OK here's a link for a free extractor - 7-Zip. superb-east.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/sevenzip/7z442.exe (I have purposely not used tinyurl here.) I'm listening to Joanne's file right now in WinAmp (my default audio player). Yay! Vivian, after you download and install it, and it asks you where to extract Joanne's file, click "Extract Here". It will go on your desktop in a folder. Go inside the folder and click on the link. It should open in your default audio player.

Joanne, thank you so much for setting up the mp3 and allowing us to download it from your site. You are a lifesaver!! I taped the program, but toward the end the reception wasn't good and the last 15 minutes, at least, of the interview was messed up and "Peace Train" was very messed up. I won't have a chance to listen the two other times it will be aired, so I am extremely grateful to you for providing the mp3 of the program to us. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! ;D ;D ;D
I haven't even listened to all of it yet, but what I've heard is great. It is so neat that Alun came along with him to America - kind of like when the two of them came over here for the first time at the very beginning! So cool!!
This is all more than we fans ever would have believed possible just a couple of years ago. Thanks Yusuf.
Thank you again, Joanne!!

It's a little tricky, so you have to watch each step, and follow each direction.
Go to the link I provided for the free zip extractor.
Once it downloads, click on it.
It will ask you what you want to do.
Click "install" and let it install. Then you click "finish".
Then you go to Joanne's file.
Click on it and when it asks you which program to use to unzip it, choose 7-Zip.
Then 7-Zip unzips it and THAT's when the dialog box pops up and asks you where to extract to.
Then you choose "Extract Here" it will go to your desktop inside a folder.
Then go inside the folder and click on the link that 7-Zip created and it should open in your default audio player.
Print all this out and follow it. You may have to do it several times before you catch on.

Wow, what an interview! My favorite parts (in addition to those already mentioned above).... (with which I totally agree! Yusuf calling Alun his "pal, companion, guitar friend." Re his "feelings" instead of "music" in The Wind": "I changed the words in the middle, did you notice? Sorry!" LOL, that rascal! And regarding his arrival in the U.S./road into New York, I love his descriptors: "divine.. lovely ... felt so at home...delightful..." Awwwwwwwwwwwwww..... touching! He almost sounds high on this "return" of his! I also loved his comments about his art.. that what maybe set him apart from some others was his seriousness.. his sincerity.. his honesty. I think that's what touches so many of us in his music. That sincerity and openness... without any self-consciousness at all. P.S. Joanne, you're an angel.

Oh yeah, I meant to say I am more impressed by his technical skills every time I hear him. Midday can't be an easy song to do acoustically! Yet he pulled it off NICELY!
He's sounding SO much more ready for a possible... .. .... ahem.....
... tour now, than, say 2 years ago....
Yusuf, you're sounding fab! You don't sound a day over 30.

Peace Everyone!
What a wonderful chat. We could hear Yusuf's singing and the guitars playing so clearly.
I have Sirius in my car, so I told people at work that I had to go to a meeting, jumped in my car, and drove around for the entire chat!
Several times during the chat tears came in my eyes...my spiritual journey through life has been very similar to Yusuf's, and I know so much of his feelings and hopes because they are mine as well...he sounded quite happy and content with his decision to bring a message of hope and peace to the world with his music once again. I am very glad that he was welcomed back finally into the US. I do hope that the climate in the country will allow him to tour one day soon.

FINALLY, I got it to work! All I can say is WOW! That man doesn't need any backup. Just him and his guitar and it's pure magic! So glad his airport experience was great for him. WELCOME HOME, Yusuf!
Peace,Vivian

Nice comments Lucy, I also liked the way he talked about some people aren't comfortable with people who are very, very honest with {others}, want a safe zone or a comfort zone, and a lot of people didn't want to take that extra step to find out and learn the truth of what he did and what he found, and he backed off and went silent, and they listened to other people describing what he did in joke terms, and he stayed silent and left a lot of broken hearts because he didn't know how to explain himself. Now he sees the dangers of leaving things unexplained, and isdoing the work of bridge-building. There were several other good comments in this vein as well.
It seems like this is the first time he's gone into this kind of description and this kind of depth about the issue. Is that true? (I mean, I've listened to a lot of his interviews and read the articles and interviews, but this was the best description/explanation I've heard yet.)

Which Songs - (Setlist) performed Yusuf on SIRIUS Satellite radio? Hi lars, He played Midday, The Wind, Maybe There's a World, and Peace Train. Joanne, I cannot thank you enough for making this available to us! Listening to the interview and the live performances was PURE JOY. Hearing all of those guitars with Yusuf's voice....Heaven on earth! The perfect Christmas experience! And...it's on my hard drive! The Wind was truly the most chill-inducing version I have ever heard...just astonishing! Bella

Thanks This is the first chance I have had to down load and listen. I like this unplugged simple band sound. I even liked Peace Train. He sounds so much wiser than in the original.
