Hi everyone, my name is Joanne...I am from Australia...how are you all?...I adore Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam...I think he an incredible person...my favourite song, (so hard to choose!), is probably Father and Son...the line "you will still be here tomorrow, but your dreams may not" gets me every time...also Peace Train, Where Do the Children Play?, Wild World, Moonshadow, Sad Lisa...god, how can you choose?...I just got the Majikat dvd, so I think I'm gonna go watch that now...hmmm...

Welcome to the site Joanne, it's nice to have you aboard. :-) I hope you really enjoy the Majikat DVD. It's a great concert!
Father and Son is a wonderful song, isn't it. Amazing how it is speaking to the younger generations now, as it spoke to us in the 70's.

Hi Joanne, I heard that in Australia, Cat was extremely popular in the early 70's. In fact in averaging out record sales, it was like one in every four people owned a Cat album.

That's quite possibly true, Katmandu...and I think the release of the Majikat dvd will begin a resurgence of popularity for Cat's music and attract a whole new generation of fans, so that's cool
