I thought it might be fun to discuss what Cat MEMORABILIA we have! I am trying to build up mine! Constantly searching E MAY and other places for those RARE TREATS! So far, I have found a couple of GORGEOUS POSTERS and some concert CDS! One item, a copy of MONA BONE JAKON that was signed CAT STEVENS in 1975, and I brought it with me when I saw Yusuf in Orlando last year! He signed it AGAIN signing YUSUF!
But, actually, to me, my MOST PRIZED POSSESSION is a pamphlet he signed for me at our first meeting in MAY 2000! I guess this is because there is NO MONEY VALUE here, as it was something from a DEAR FRIEND as if I had known him ALL MY LIFE!
Peace,Vivian

Well those who know me well know about my letter and signed album. The letter is posted here at Majicat. And Vivian presented him with 'Tillerman' and he signed it for me. I am looking at it as I type this. And there is one more letter that I received in 1987 that is personal so I keep it to myself. And I have alot of CD's and vinyl. I have one 'Teaser' album from years ago and inside the pocket I scrawled 'I love you Cat Stevens' for I was going to run away to London to marry him. Peace, A'isha

I used to have a few Cat Stevens albums, but unfortunately, my ex husband stole them when he left my house. How could someone do that? I have been trying slowly to put my collection back together.

My most treasured memorabilia is my 1972 mint condition copy of the 'Teaser & the Firecat' childrens's book, I love his illustrations almost as much as his music, what a talent!!!

First, I wish to say welcome to Play_and_Play, it's nice to see you here . As for favorite memorbilia, I have been trying to figure out what is my fave. Hmmmm I have to say the Teaser book along with P&P. There are a few different reasons, one is because I love the drawings in it. And I have always been intriqued by Cats drawings. Though, I do think the Tillerman LP drawing is my favorite drawing of Cats with the Mathew & Son Drawing a close second. My other favorite memorabilia would be my really old Poster of Cat with all its creases and tears to show it's age. A poster sold by the Scholastic Book fair at my high school a life time ago. And the one with the most sentamental value to me, would be my Catch Bull at four LP. My father bought this LP and the original Jesus Christ Superstar LP for me when I was laid up in bed due to an operation at the time. So it really has special value to me, since my father died only a few years later.

Well..let me think:ALL his albums except for "Footsteps In The Dark"; two copies of the "Teaser & The Firecat" children's book; two autographed albums("Tea For the Tillerman" and his first "Greatest Hits" album);several ORIGINAL Majikat American Tour '76 posters;a Majikat CLOCK, mug and keychain;NUMEROUS magazines from the seventies featuring articles about Cat; a real NICE b&w publicity photo from the early seventies; a CD of a recent interview(to promote the last greatest hits compilation)and the Rolling Stone mag with Cat on the cover. I have several CD's of live concert performances, plus videos of his hit songs and a couple of videos of him live in concert. Just wish I had MORE! ;DShirley

GOTTA add that I am GREEN WITH ENVY at VIVIAN, for having a Cat album signed with BOTH his names! I have his "Yusuf" signature on the "Tea For The Tillerman" album and his "Cat" signature on the "Greatest Hits" album, but not BOTH signatures on the SAME album! Shirley

Geez...I guess I don't really have any Cat Memorabilia...I do have a new patch from Izitso that reads, "Cat Stevens". I bought it off eBay a few months ago because I wanted to sew it on a guitar case...but still haven't bought the case! lol!
Believe it or not I wasn't really into Cat Stevens that much when I was a teenager. I loved some of the songs like Wild World that I heard on the radio, but didn't really get into his music that much until about a year ago. I was a weird kid - really into Sci-Fi stuff like Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica...hehehe
Take care, Susan

I'm going to try and revive this original topic from 5 yrs. ago started by Vivian. While cleaning out my attic, I came across this, which I remember buying while on vacation in LA in 1973. It made me wonder if anyone else has anything that they'd like to share.

Christine, I'd love to see that picture. I tried a search for "shirts" but got next to nothing. Can you remember where you posted it or what keywords I can search. Thanks

Thanks for finding it Christine. Very Cute. This thread was obviously a lot more appropriate than the one I chose. I'd love to see others put up photos of something "Cat" they own.
