OOPS!  A TYPO occurred(I did NOT mean it to sound as if I want to BAN his tight-fitting jeans-FAR from it)! As for the "Banapple-Gas" outfit, that would include the ENTIRE OUTFIT(INCLUDING his spray-gun, hat, metallic gold shoes, bow-tie,etc.). Shirley ;D |

I love the arm band Shirley , Always have and always will. The one item which is NOT clothing, but which I have always loved and would like to see in the R&R Hall of Fame disply would be Cats - Brown Cat Stevens engraved leather guitar strap. I wonder what ever happened to it.  |

Well, I think I will say the shirt that he took off in one concert when a fan threw a gift shirt on stage! Now, that would be ONE HOT HOT HOT shirt! Well, yeah, I KNOW, that wasn't one of the choices! It is just that when I first heard that story, I pictured myself running to GRAB that shirt from the stage!   Wll, YEAH, I KNOW, I AM NUTS! Shirley, as soon as I saw this thread topic, I knew it was yours... For some reason I have a soft spot for that black velvet suit jacket. I don't know why. I just don't know.... Neat question. I think the Banapple Gas outfit is about the silliest thing he ever wore. But somehow he made even THAT look cute. Only him.... |

This poll was a HARD CHOICE for me to make  (even though I started it,LOL )! Although I STARTED to vote for either the studded armband or the fringed, knee-high boots, my mind KEPT going BACK to just HOW MANY TIMES I'd seen Cat wear that SAME baby-blue denim outfit! I got to thinking that it MUST have been a REAL FAVORITE of his, hence it got my vote. I remember music critics frequently commenting on how OFTEN they saw Cat wear denim; one even made a famous comment on such:"FEW artists wore denim as WELL as CAT did!"  Hugs,Shirley |

Lucy, I know EXACTLY what you mean by having a soft spot for that black velvet jacket! ;D I think it too MUST have been a BIG FAVORITE of his as well. That he wore it :ofrom the EARLY to the LATTER half of his career in music says ALOT for just how FOND he was of it(you can see it on the cover of not less than THREE albums:"Matthew& Son"; "New Masters" and "Catch Bull At Four"). ;DShirley |

You are RIGHT, LadyD! Cat wore LOTS of VERY chic, bright and EYE-CATCHING outfits in the FIRST half of his career(the one in your pic is a GREAT example-LOVE those "Pilgrim" style shoes, ESPECIALLY the HUGE buckles)! |
