Hi guys,
Has anyone heard any of the songs Cat wrote but never recorded himself--- London At Night, Gone Gone Gone, Keep it Out of Sight, Never Play a B Side ?
I must say some of the descriptions in the cover section sound very interesting. I imagine it might be quiet a task to track down some of those records though, some pretty obscure artists involved.

Well, if Cat DID record secret gems, Yusuf is keeping it UNDER WRAPS! How else will he be able to surprize us with wonderful treats at unexpected moments, for us to cherish!

Well, I've heard most of these tracks and my favourite is "Keep It Out Of Sight'. Mind you, it could be because I am old enough to remember being quite taken with Paul & Barry Ryan. They were hearthrobs in my youth. (last week)  Linda |

I'm pretty sure George Brown (AKA Daddy-O ) will have heard all these tracks.
I know George has a fantastic record collection, and knows lots about covers of Cat's songs, and had a lot of information about them in his Cat Stevens biography.

Well, I've heard most of these tracks and my favourite is "Keep It Out Of Sight'. Mind you, it could be because I am old enough to remember being quite taken with Paul & Barry Ryan. I'd like to hear those myself, but I'd prefer it if Cat sang them himself. One of these days, I'll get hold of George's Cat Stevens biography. I'm sure it's fascinating. Did George ever interview him for the book?  |
