Internations Cat Stevens meet-up day!catstevens.meetup.com/ It appears as if someone is trying to promote as February 14th not only Valentines day, but Inernational Cat Stevens meet-up Day. You just mark your your location and check back closer to the date, to see if any other Cat Stevens fans close to your area would like meet up with you. It probably wont work, but at least someone is trying. Actually it's not a bad idea. I can't meet up with any one on February 14th, I have to work. It's a major work day for people in the restaurant field. But who know's it may work for a few others, if they are willing to try. If you are successful, let us know how it went. Christine

I am not sure if I can get the entire day off work that day, but I only work a few hours! Maybe we can catch up for part of that day, or Feb 15, which is a Sunday! MY work schedule is so iratic, that I don't know! But maybe! So, the ones close to me are Brad, Sue, Barb-did I miss anyone!

Right now, I am a little leary about trying to get that day off from work! My hours are severly cut, right now, that I must leave myself pretty open to get any kind of a decent schedule, IF I AM LUCKY! But I would LOVE to meet up!

The international C.S. meet-ups are held every 2nd Saturday of each month. Since you can't make this one Viv, perhaps you can make the one in March. It will be nice if people are able to take advantage of this helpful way of connecting with other Cat fans. Having a set Date and Time of each month, makes it easier to organize. Nothing ever gets accomplished when no one can agree on a time or day.
It's nice to see a few people have already signed up for the meetup. Hopefully more will sign up as well.

I see there are now 2 people from London, England signed up for this meetup.. this is a good little start.
It may take us a few months to actually get people together. I guess the best thing to do is just keep trying and see what happens in the months to come.

Maybe they can have the Meetup at the airport  Well, call me old fashioned, but I don't think you'll ever find me signing up over the internet to meet a lone stranger at a Starbucks. I received the same E MAIL, MK, which for this month, is just as well! I can't get out of work, that week end! In any case, I might have to try to catch a meeting in a nearby city! Not too much action in Gainesville! Maybe Orlando, or Tampa or Jacksonville! I know there are Cat fans in those cities!

Well, I have just signed up for Saturday, March 13th in Visalia(about a 45 minute drive from my place-not far away)! Since I live in the heart of "Hicksville,Ca."I had already figured that about the ONLY city in this area that was "Cosmo" enough to actually HAVE Cat fans of ANY size whatsoever just HAD to be Visalia,LOL! I don't care if only ONE person other than MYSELF shows up, and I don't care if we meet up in Starbucks, Border's Books, Sears or the local Chevron gas station(right next to the pumps, ::)tee hee)- Shirley |

I feel the same way Shirley, but sadly if there are not at least 5 people signed up nothing is arranged. I am trying for the second time. I have been thinking of just going to the meeting place I chose on the date and kind of skulking around to see if anyone else is there. Will any Florida Cat buddies like to help Hairy and I celebrate our 14th anniversary next Sunday! Or is it our THIRD! Okay, I need help with this one! We were married on LEAP YEAR, 1992. This will be the THIRD leap year, since we were married! So is it three or fourteen! HELP----I AM SO CONFUSED! LOL ;D I know thisn't considered an OFFICIAL Cat meet up, but WHAT THE HECK!!
