Here is a schedule of a few of Cat Stevens TV related performances. It has the schedule, with links to when Cat appeared (mostly via music video's) on the Midnight Special. Interesting enough they played tribute to Cat Stevens on 2 different occassions, once in 1975 and once in 1976. Another interesting fact, which I never realized before was that the promo 'Old Schoolyard' was showed on Dick Clarks 'American Bandstand' in 1977. www.tvtome.com/tvtome/servlet/PersonDetail/personid-158636

Thanks for that link, Christine. I seem to remember an In Concert appearance back in 1975. Steve did several songs. Anyone else remember that show?

Was the In Concert performance done in 1973 and rebroadcast in 1975?

No, the moon & Star was only rebroadcast once, in the summer of 1974.
Sue do you remember the time he was scheduled to be a guest on Gerardo Reveria's "Goodnight America' program? I waited all week to watch that program, only to see he never appeared on the show. It was marked in the TV guide that he was the special guest that week, instead they had Kurt Vonnegut. What a disappointment that was, even though I was into Kurt Vonnegut at the time.

Wow, I liked Vonnegut too at that time. I don't recall that interview or one scheduled with Cat Stevens either. I am glad it didn't come off with Geraldo, though. I'd like to see one with Charley Rose. The reason I asked about the In Concert show was that I found a tidbit on the net that mentions 1973. Must have been a misprint. It was just a one liner: 1973 - Cat Stevens made his national TV debut on ABC's "In Concert."

That would be correct Sue, Cat Stevens 90 minute ABC In Concert 'Moon & Star' was broadcast in November 1973.
Sue, the Gerardo Reveria program was back in the mid 1970's, before he became the arrogant broadcaster he is today. I had heard at the time that Kurt Vonnegut stepped in at the last moment. Not sure why Cat never appearred on the show after he was scheduled to, but K.Vonnegut was Gerardos father in law at the time, so he probably just stepped in to help his son in law out.
