I think this might interest some of you folks because we all want to see the Moon and Star concert on DVD.
The rumor is that the concert is *lost* yet we have all seen fairly good qaulity clips of it on BTM.
Strangely, Dick Clark is reviled amongst Buddy Holly fans because he has never released all the performance recordings etc. of Buddy that he has. He claims they have been *lost* yet clips of the footage crop up on Clark's TV show.
Isn't that kind of weird?
Perhaps the BTM people were only able to get bits of it and there is no full, decent copy out there. I suspect either Yusuf Islam or the BTM director must know the answer.
If we sent one little email as a group to yusufislam.org.uk would his secretary be able to answer as to the concert's existance or something...
If not, if any of you folks meet him at the Majikat DVD premieres ask him about the next DVD!

I've spoken to people who HAS asked Yusuf about this, and he knows nothing. But I refuse to believe that someone out there does not have a complete and clean copy of this gem! I just refuse to beloieve it!

Good news. The tape is not "lost". The full ABC In Concert was broadcast in Australia during 1984.
If you search this site you will see video capture from the Foreigner Suite portion of ABC along with a real video file of Bad Penny. Both these are not availiable on the common bootleg.

I knew it. Now, that we know a clean uncut copy is out there, we can work all the harder, to get this gem released to the public! ANd I am sure, there are other clean uncut copies, as well! Is there any way we can get ahold of the station in Austrailia and ask about this! MAYBE THEN, we can get ahold of TRIO and ask that they air it, or better yet, VH-1, because I can't get TRIO! PLEASE!!!!!!
