For those fans in the UK, the recent '46664 concert' will be shown on British TV on Channel 4 this weekend. The concert is on between 10:35pm and 11:45pm GMT on Sunday the 7th Dec. As this is undoubtably an edited show, I'm just hoping that it will include Yusufs and Peter Gabriels 'Wild world' spot, as I missed the live webcast.

I hope that the UK will run Yusuf's segment. So many folks missed out here in the States.

Meg x Good luck with your trip to the mosque, I guess you're hoping you'll be lucky again, Meg? As it's only an hour show, I've got a feeling the TV broadcast on Sunday will be the same edited version that can be viewed from the 46664 site, as that is about the same length, ( given that Ch4 will have ad breaks in amongst),... but here's hoping anyway. The bit of the concert I've seen from the site ( before I lost connection) looked pretty good, so even if Yusuf's performance isn't shown, for me, as long as they keep in Peter Gabriels own set I'll be happy. I saw Peter live earlier this year, and he was fantastic, but he isn't exactly a young man anymore, he must be exhausted after his world tour, but it's great to see him taking part, I believe he plays 'Biko' for the first time in South Africa, that has got to be a highlight.

Did you watch the concert DJ, Meg? Did you see Yusuf ;D ;D ;D Don't want to make all you other folks jealous but Yusuf WAS included in our airing of the concert on Channel 4. We didn't get the introduction or the full song but we got part. I taped it last night and just put it on while I had breakfast, never really expecting to see him, I'll watch it again later cos I'm off to the dentist now Enjoyed Peter Gabriels 'Biko' too ;D

Cristalina, wasn't it great to see at least a part of Yusuf's performance, hearing Peter and Yusuf back together after all those years?
It's a real shame they chose to edit his part of the show, but at least we got to see some of it.
I really enjoyed all the other performances too, with Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart also getting back together again, they both looked good for their age, like they haven't changed.
Bono and Edge did a great set too, I'm looking forward to U2's new album next year. I read that it's a bit harder album, Bono has been quoted as saying Edge is putting a lot of anger into his playing, and he's tired of seeing Bono shaking hands with politicians all the time, and wants him to get back to what he does best.
It was funny to see the shots of Oprah Winfrey grooving away next to Nelson Mandela, they looked like they were having a great time.

Cristalina and DJ, it's great that you were able to see at least a part of Yusuf's performance. I was lucky enough to watch Yusuf on TV too! Yusuf's great performance, including Peter Gabriel's introduction and Yusuf's short speech, was shown IN FULL LENGTH over here - almost exactly EIGHT minutes!!! ;D ;D ;D The concert was already broadcast the same night - only a few hours after it had actually taken place - for nearly FOUR hours by the German TV channel "ZDF"! The media are very appreciative of Yusuf over here, and he is very acknowledged. He even gets a very special mention - with a photo - in connection with the broadcast of the concert on the "ZDF" website! Love, Sanna

Cristalina, DJ, and Robinsong,
Did Yusuf sing just one song? Did Wild World have the same lyrics and melody or did he change them like he did "Peace Train" and "Angel of War/LadyD"?
What did Yusuf say in his speech?
Thanks, Faithfullight

Hi Sanna, got a link for the ZDF website? Jill, this is the ZDF link... www.zdf.de/ZDFde/inhalt/0/0,1872,2084320,00.html The note says: "For the first time after more than 25 years Cat Stevens, who is now called Yusuf Islam, could be seen with a live performance on German television again." To see Yusuf's photo scroll down the site a little and go to "Bildergalerie" (under a picture of Bono). The first photo you get shows Yusuf! Sorry to say, it's only a photo from the archives but a very cute one... Love, Sanna
