On March 5, of this year, marked the 10th annerversary of my niece, Holly's death. Tomorrow(May 27), Holly would have been 15 years old. This time of year is always difficult for me and my family, and I would like to do this tribute for her, and there is no better tribute than some of Cat/Yusuf's beautiful songs!
Oh very young What will you leave us this time Youre only dancing on this earth for a short while And though your dreams may toss and turn you now They will vanish away like your daddys best jeans Denim Blue fading up to the sky And though you want him to last forever You know he never will (You know he never will ) And the patches make the goodbye harder still
Oh very young What will you leave us this time Therell never be a better chance to change your mind And if you want this world to see a better day Will you carry the words of love with you Will you ride the great white bird into heaven And though you want to last forever You know you never will (You know you never will ) And the goodbye makes the journey harder still
Oh very young What will you leave us this time Youre only dancing on this earth for a short while Oh very young What will you leave us this time
Peace,Vivian

Oh, they've killed all the Little Ones While their faces still smiled With their guns and their fury They erased their young lives No longer to laugh No longer to be a child Oh, they've killed all the Little Ones While their faces still smiled
Now they're burying the Little Ones And making their graves deep So the world cannot see That tonight we may sleep While they wash away the blood The mothers all weep Oh, they're burying the Little Ones And making their graves deep
Yet where will the devils go When that day comes? When the angels drag them out To face The Little Ones
Oh they killed all the Little Ones With their eyes open wide There was nothing to help them On the day that they died
No bed to run under No cupboard to hide Oh they've killed all the Little Ones With their eyes open wide
They'll be raising The Little Ones With no sin to atone In the light of high Heaven They will sit on tall thrones Where playtime lasts forever And God's Mercy never ends They'll be raising the Little Ones And they'll all be best friends They'll be raising the Little Ones And they'll all be best friends
Peace,Vivian

There's a yellow flower by your bed Sadly droopin' it's perfumed head So you won't smell it, I know what you'll miss
And there's a hummingbird, a hummingbird, A hummingbird, a hummingbird, Oh there's a hummingbird singing.
There is the hat you made, the clothes you wore Lying down on the cold, dirty floor. The colors are fading, they'll never shine again.
And there's a hummingbird, a hummingbird, A hummingbird, a hummingbird, Oh there's a hummingbird singing.
Now the road is turning gray, There's a shadow where you once lay. They'll find it tomorrow, and think you went alone.
But there's a hummingbird, a hummingbird, A hummingbird, a hummingbird, Ah there's a hummingbird crying.
Peace,Vivian

Asalaamu Alaykum Vivian, You and your loved ones will be in my prayers. Soon will be my wedding anniversary and soon after will be the anniversary of my husbands death. He was only 34. We must live on and that is the hardest thing we can do. May blessings be upon you. We will all get through this, God Willing. Peace, Jenna Maumoud

;DHello Viv, I recently became friends with the great Folk/Rock legend Buzzy Linhart. He has known/worked with just about ALL the great musicians of the last 40 years. Nowadays, he is probably best known for writing the classic song "Friends" (the song featured on "Shrek"). I shared your loss with him..I hope you don't mind. He has asked me to share this song of his with you. It has been recorded by a number of singers-most notably by his old ex-girlfriend, CARLY SIMON. He hopes it will help you in dealing with your loss and on-going grief. He sends you his love(and he MEANS IT)! I'll send you an mp3 of him singing it today. The Love's Still Growing And I'm so high I can't go on. Oh but I can sing this song. Because the love's still growing. And the love's still growing. And some folks say that all hope is gone. But TODAY the world is one. Because the love's still growing. And the love's still growing. And it's time to say, it's time to know that it's o.k. that some must go. Because the love's still growing. Yes, the love's STILL growing. With love(and I MEAN IT) Shirley
