If there's ever a movie based on Cat's life. what two songs do you think would be good theme songs, the first, at the begining, the second, at the end. I think "On The Road to find out", to open the movie, and "God is the light", to close the movie.

Interesting topic, Vivian, and wonderful songs to characterize Cat's spiritual journey and quest for the light! Those two songs would be my choice as well! Love, Sanna

Granted those two are pretty definitive. if I had to chose another two I would think I Wish I Wish would have a good place in the beginning I can't resist, 100 I dream must be in there *somewhere* and now that I think about it "If You ask Me" would also be a pretty good song for the end I agree, nice topic. peace 2 u, -anwar

"Fill My Eyes" is a good one I think. To me it describes life before finding Islam:
There's an empty space inside me now, A wasteland deep beneath the snow, So cold, nothing'll grow.
I'm just a coaster but my wheels won't go, My legs are weak my heels are low. I'm just a coaster but my wheels won't roll. Can't make no headway on this road.
And after finding Islam:
And in the morning when You fill my eyes I knew that day I couldn't do, Ahh, no wrong, I couldn't do.
And so my mind begins to memorize 'Cause time will never seem the same, Ahh, no more, never again.

(As posted on the other board): openning = Pop Staras the end credits roll = Just Another NightThese 2 songs kind of bookend Cat's career thematically...AND...they have not been extensively covered on CD compilations etc. They'd make cool additions to the soundtrack. -jen.

WOW, I never thought of Fill My Eyes, Kim! That would certainly fit for opening AND closing the movie! Great Ideas, folks!

"The Wind" would be another beautiful opening song to me. I think it characterizes Cat who still doesn't know his direction and who still isn't sure about where to go. I listen to the wind to the wind of my soul Where I'll end up well I think, only God really knows ... This line might perhaps symbolize Yusuf's experience in Malibu - the turning point in his life: ... I swam upon the devil's lake ... "Peace Train" would be, I think, a good song to close the film, as it expresses Yusuf's wish and work for a peaceful world. ... dreaming about the world as one and I believe it could be some day it's going to come ... Love, Sanna
