Hey, I'm New here ~ The more I listen to all of Cat's music I think he was / is a star child " 70's term" I think now we are referred to as star people. It totally fits him and his personality and the way he has chosen to live for 20+ now. Where do I meet a nice Greek boy like him now days?? I wish I wish.. Do men really think that way, write songs so beautiful!! So deep, it is pure poetry!! I respect Yusufs choices but it is a shame he no longer shares his words and music with this world, we could sure use it now!! I hope some place he has nothing but one notebook after another of his poetry that maybe some day we will get to read?? Surely someone as gifted as he is / was could not just stop writing poetry?? I would think it is in his blood, like something he has to do!! I do miss the music very very much, I wish there was more of his music out there to help us heal and love and think and feel that cat wrote but there is not. I hope he understands we only miss him & his music because we love him and his music unconditionally!! He is truly special and as far as I am concerned a star child. But then again I am a hippie "Star Child" myself & you know how weird we can be > LOL KS

Dear KS,
Welcome. You know it's funny. When I was younger, I thought that Hippy thing was passe and that nothing could would be more embarrassing than to be associated with it.
Now that I'm older, I feel more in tune with "Hippy" values. I must been a Star Child all along and not even knew it! Lol.
Cat's music is an inspiration. I couldn't have appreciated it when I was younger and Yup pier.

Hi, and welcome to the site. Yusuf may no longer perform his old songs in the same way he used to back in the day, but he still does share those words with us. Have you seen the new DVD yet? Listen to the interview section.
Peace,Vivian
