I started reading Cat's message about the children in Russia, and it just went on to defend Islam.

Most people already KNOW that Islams message is of peace and love and all that good stuff.

The question is WHY are so many followers of this relegion so UNkind, and horrific?! Why are there no huge protests in the streets by Muslims CONDEMMING the atrocious acts their co-religionists prescribe to? It's always reduced to exuses, finger pointing, and defensive statements?

I wonder that myself. Every time I speak out against those nuts who follow a militant view which contradicts the path of peace, I get blasted for speaking out against those nuts. It just doesn't make sense to me. I feel that all people (Muslim and non-Muslim) should condemn those acts of violence and evil. The religion of Islam has been hijacked by ignorant bigots, and it needs to be brought back in line to the path of peace if our world is ever to see peace come.

Thank goodness for voices like Yusuf Islam and others who have spoken against those crimes of hate that those nuts claim to commit in the name of Islam (that has nothing to do with Islam). It's hurtful to see people doing wrong in the name of one's religion, but it happens in all branches of religion from time to time. And it does need to be addressed and recognized as the evil that it is so that voices can teach those nuts that they are doing wrong.

The answer could not be more simple. Those terrorists are not true followers of Islam, or any Godly faith, that is. They are not fit to be called followers of God.
