I never forget the day i met Cat Stevens in The London Central Mosque... We were then in October 1988. I tried to meet him again in 1997 (this time with my kids) but no chance... maybe next time, i thought.
But this time i want (i need) to meet him in a "true" RETURN OF THE CAT, playing live his guitar and singing along with his Heaven`s voice someting like Father & Son.
If God exists, He will guide him to a new journey because the WORLD, like me, NEEDS A RETURN OF CAT STEVENS.
WE WANT CAT STEVENS BACK, for God´s sake!!!
p.s. sorry about my English, but i couldn´t resist to post something here... You know why? Because "i´ve been smiling lately, thinking about the goods things to come and i believe it could be, something good has begun..."

I'd rather have him just the way his is. His contributions to mankind as Yusuf Islam far exceed his music as Cat Stevens. And that says alot, because his music was a tremendous contribution. I prefer the man at peace whose beautiful relationship with God is expressed in every word and deed.

Amen to MonaBoneJakon!! I also met him in August 1988,in the London Central Mosque. He was in a beautiful green Muslim wear. At the time he was 40.He was between star age and now.Though he doesn't look like an artist at the time, only the robe color showed his art sense. Anyway,I'm glad to know the person who remembers 40 years Yusuf. I like Yusuf Islam, but honestly I agree with you,MonaBoneJakon. Peace,Yukas
