Hi, I just wanted to share a little about listening to the Majikat broadcast last night on WNET, Channel 13 in NY. It was part of the current pledge week, so there were three breaks, cutting out several songs: The Wind, Morning Has Broken, Ruins and a few others, but it was such a thrill having Cat/Yusuf on PBS again! There were some wonderful comments made about Cat and his music by Lenny Kay, a musician of 40 years, guesting during the breaks. He confirmed the feeling by the hosts that Cat's music is artisticly sound and that his integrity and talent have grown over the years. Lenny also saluted Cat/Yusuf saying he still rides that peace train and sings from the heart, extraordinary indeed! Of course, the songs were beautiful, that goes without saying! I first saw Cat on PB s in the early 1970's. I hope other Majicat'ers got to see it and lots of new viewers discover how incredible Cat/Yusuf is.

It wasn't aired here in Florida, so I had to miss it. But a dear Mes Amis taped it and is sending me a copy. Peace,Vivian

Thanks Valerie, Thank you for your review of Sunday nights PBS Majikat special. It's nice to know that the commentators had nice comments about Yusuf and his music. Good for PBS for airing Cat Stevens on American TV.

Valerie, many, many thanks for posting about Majikat on PBS. It is so heartwarming to hear of the nice comments they were making about Cat/Yusuf. I am so glad to hear that people are acknowleging that he is a tremendously talented musician with great integrity. I hope lots of people who have only heard negative things will see these broadcasts and finally realize what a wonderful and caring man Yusuf truly is. There will be other broadcasts of Majikat in different cities and different times all through the PBS pledge period this month so I hope more people will be able to see it. Unfortunately, it seems my PBS station isn't going to show it ,so I love to read the descriptions of people who have seen the broadcast. Thanks again!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Even though it did not air in my part of the country it sure is nice to know that Yusuf is getting some legitimate air play. Maybe if we are lucky it will get more than just a small regional presentation. It seems that small steps are being taken.
