[glow=red,2,300]The last Cat track you heard on TV/Radio[/glow]
It was great to hear ‘Where do the children play’ in the programme ‘Providence’ (Hallmark Channel) on Sunday. (12th March 2006) I wondered, how many other unexpected tracks any of you may have heard?
Keep safe, SuzieQ

Keep safe, SuzieQ Some reruns of the WB TV series "Everwood" had three of Cat's songs sung by someone else in the first season ... Trouble, Father and Son and Don't Be Shy. I think someone there likes Cat music. LOL. It was a very nice surprise for me. There is also an Everwood CD out with all the songs from the first season.

During the I love the 70s shows, for 1975, they played "Wild World" during Grizzly Adams scenes. Even though Grizzly Adams was one of my fave shows during those years, it was a pleasent surprise to hear it.

I was so surprised and happy to hear "Oh Very Young" playing over the muzak station we were listening to at work one day. I can't remember ever hearing it on the radio so the fact that it was coming from muzak was quite amazing. Kathy

Hello Katheryne, I'm not sure what part of Ohio you are from, but if you are in the 105.7 WMJI Magic radio station area, they play Cat quite often. I hear him almost everyday that I listen to wmji. They were also known to use Moonshadow as a little slogan for there 70's hour, last year. although, I think they have a new slogan now. It's a very Cat friendly radio station. ;D

Hi, On Wednesday evening BBC4 showed the 1971 Concert. I just happened to have the TV on and hearing this brought this wonderful artist back to me after many years. Now I'm so cross with myself that I did not video the show as I'd love to see it again. I'm now rebuying his albums on CD. Did anyone else see or record the show on BBC4? Thanks, Michaela in Ireland

Thanks John and Em, Yes I have discovered the goodies on majicat and have been enjoying them too. Also, on the Suppliers page I found a link to a site called Netsounds, and have purchased this concert on DVD so am excitedly waiting for it to arrive. I've also ordered Majikat DVD from amazon AND today I won the Very Best of with bonus DVD on Ebay, so I'm doing a lot of damage to my credit card this week, but Cat is well worth it

Thanks Christine, Also what is really cool is that due to my rediscovery of Cat my 19 year old daughter has found him for the first time. She caught some of the concert last week, and when I came home with Tillerman CD she ran off with it to put onto her ipod. So a brand new fan has been born Teaser arrived in the post yesterday. It's so amazing to buy a 'new' CD and already know all the words to every track on the album. This always was my favourite album and The Wind is my fav track. Driving to work this morning I heard Don't be Shy on WKIP ~ Poughkeepsie and one day last week, Wild World was playing on WPDH. These are oldies stations so naturally you are bound to hear some of Cat's gems now and again.

Seems as though Poughkeepsie is having a bit of a love fest going on for Cat/Yusuf this holiday weekend. Heard a few of his tunes on WKIP and WPDH, a blurb about his new music on local TV and two ladies whom I don't know discussing "Cat Stevens" in the booth behind me at the coffee shop. I chimed in to the conversation, of course, and they were saying that they had heard that he was going to come here to the U.S. soon. I told them I didn't hear anything about that but we all agreed what a triumph that would be. Has anyone else heard of such a thing? Is Yusuf allowed back here or is this just wishful thinking on some people's part? I really hope that it is true.

With the exception of that one article, I have not heard anything about Yusuf being allowed back in. Until we hear more, for example, directly from Yusuf's site, I don't think we can get our hopes up, just yet. I'd love for it to be true, but I am holding off on getting too excited, until I know for sure.

I'd love for it to be true, but I am holding off on getting too excited, until I know for sure. To be very honest, I didn't really in my heart of hearts believe it when I heard it. I think it is just too good to be true and besides, if it were true, and did come to pass, I'm sure much more would be made of it, rather than just a nibble here and there, leaving questions in people's minds. Something tells me our present Administration is not going to be the one to absolve Yusuf. (not that he needs to be absolved). I don't think the president is one to admit to mistakes too readily.
