Does he play guitar?/ I hope so. I do love Footsteps in the light (esp the arabic songs) but look forward to the old pop that was unfinished.

Hopefully there's piano as well. I have wondered why he hasn't included it before, since he was using voice, computer generated sounds and percussion.
The piano is a percussion instrument, as is the xylophone.
I think there's xylophone in the new Peace Train.
I don't think the guitar is considered a percussion instrument, so he's already made a leap out of his previous 'safe zone'. I would think that field is wide open for any remaining instrument.
He's said before though, that the guitar originated in Arabia, or something to that effect.
Baby steps.
