If you are seeing this then the new catstevens.com hasn't gone live yet. It will soon.
In the meantime visit Yusuf's site at yusufislam.com
This is the newest message from the "site". LOL I get a kick out of all the guests reading the site here.

Okay,I guess this will have to be my sub for Cat.com for now,so what has been happening here? Vaun Nice to touch bases with you again Jennyany. Are you joining the new Cat.com? I hope so. There are some people at Cat,com I can't stand, but the best thing to do is to ignore them. V. Hi Vaun, glad to see you here. Of course I will always have fond memories of cat.com as well. I know what you mean by "ignoring those you can't stand", but that is difficult when a group of people(thugs) post mean and vicious posts to the person who the site is supposed to represent. Peace,Vivian

"Okay,I guess this will have to be my sub for Cat.com for now"
this isn't a "substitute" site of any kind, especially not for that embarrassing site for all Cat Stevens fans.

Yes, I agree with Vivian. Majicat is not conducive to that type of behaviour. I hope it never gets "spoiled" but I am sure that Christine won't put up with any "thugs" taking over this site. I am behind her on that one too. Oh, and I also agree with saucy boy. This is not a substitute site. This is our little community and we are quite fond and proud of it. Christine is a fair and honest moderator but no one will walk over her either. Thank Goodness.

P.S. I actually think Jan (Into White) was the first to post the death (at 6:27 pm EST) though it wasn't confirmed at the time.
And, to be fair, I noticed that Catgirl posted it at 6:35 pm EST on dashing).
So time of death was probably closer to 6:30, taking into account differences in clocks...
LOL

this is John's profile page on IMDB where we used to post on Cat's board, haven't seen him there in a while too, last post made couple of weeks ago -- www.imdb.com/user/ur5412437/boards/profile/edit to add: I guess I should've added this on his HB thread, right? nevermind tho.

I never did think of majicat as a sub for cat.com. I've been at both since day one. They were always two separate sites as was the old UK site. Now, I look forward to the new and upcoming site.
Peace,Vivian

Same here, Viv. I hope the new site's messageboard will have Serbia in the list of countries this time though.

My piece: I'm aware of the fact many people are worried about CS.com's future, they (we) all knew we were undergoing some massive change and loads of us thought we were going to disappear. I don't know why. Of course it won't be, there's no reason for the new site to lose such a mass of keen enthusiasts, it would be like suicide. Otherwise (let me say it) I'd really miss that forum: many people adviced me, they told me that was the 'evil' site, they told me there was fighting going on, and I tried to do my best to bring some fresh air into it, I still think that forum is no evil at all, people discuss and sometimes send each other to hell, but now tell me which forum is not like that over the Internet... I met gorgeous people over there, as well as I have done here, and I could appreciate the differences between both boards, highs and lows of both, there's things I do better here and others I feel more comfortable with there, no contradictions at all as far as I'm concerned. I sometimes need to chill out, other times I need to discuss. As easy as that. CS.com will survive, no doubt.

When I joined Majicat quite a while back, it had some wonderful photos, articles, interviews, etc.that I explored quite thoroughly, but not much fan interaction at that time. Back then Cat.Com had several different categories to post under and several were going at any one time. You could easily choose the topics you wanted to make a post on and skip over the others. After it was sold to Yusuf's reps, all but one of the categories were shut down and it became much more of a catch all, throw anything into the pot mess, but I could still participate in a discussion if I could navigate my way around all of the topics that were of no particular interest to me. Anyway,I am digressing. Clearly, this has become a much more active site with many topics going on. I am pleased and excited to have rediscovered it and see that it currently is a vital and very alive website. Hi to Vivian,Jennyany,Cristalina,Gian,Into_White(is he here?),Joanne,White Satin and others who I know from Cat.com. This is definitely not a sub. It is a wonderful website! Vaun

I have a feeling that the new CAt.com is going to start over from scratch. I hope I am wrong. But if they do,that makes this site ever much more valuable. I just hope Yusuf's reps don't try to acquire this site too,or if they do the owner doesn't sell it.
