Well folks, 6 days ahead of schedule, An Other Cup has been leaked onto the internet. I'm not going to post any links publically, but do know that the whole album is out there and available; as a matter of fact I'm on track #3 right now as I write this. Of course I'm still going to buy it, but it's nice to end the wait a little early.  |

I've actually resisted the temptation. I'm looking forward to sitting down with An Other Cup with a cup of tea and my feet up. The online experience with tinny speakers just won't do it justice.

Quick Review:
It's definitely different.. don't expect the Cat of old sound for the most part. I could best describe it as a mix of what Cat used to be and what Yusef is now. Still, there are some beautiful sounds on this album.

The online experience with tinny speakers just won't do it justice. Fortunately, I've got kick-ass speakers on my computer. And, thanks to a somewhat recent upgrade, in my car as well. They come in quite handy while tooling down the road with Yusuf on the integrated iPod at full blast. And thanks to my morning snail's-pace commute - windows down and tunes blasting - I'm guessing that quite a few of my fellow Bostonians have already heard much of the new album, too. Whether they've wanted to or not. -Joanne |

Unfortunately my speakers are from the dark ages. When I updated my computer a little over a year ago, I kept my old speakers, so, they are pretty old, LOL

I received an e-mail yesterday from the UK site that I ordered the deluxe CD on that I should be receiving it in two to three days. I'll certainly be watching for the mailman!!! ;D
