Moonshadow inspiration

i remember reading that Yusuf was in Spain when he got the inspiration to write Moonshadow. Does anyone know where in Spain he was? My daughter is studying in Spain this semester and it would be nice to have a picture of the site that inspired my favorite song. Also, does anyone know the name of the hotel Yusuf owns in London? My daughter said she would stay there when she visits London. She's humoring her old man.

I think I remember reading it was somewhere on the beach at night. Can't remember anything else at the moment.

Aw, Spain is such a beautiful country. Your lucky daughter. I visited Spain in 1999. I would love to go back.

All that was mentioned was that he wrote it while standing on rocks watching the waves and the moon. So it could have been any where. Barcelona, Gibraltar, Costa de la Luz.

BTW... Boy With Moon and Star on his head was also written while Yusuf was in Spain.

Sadly, it is no more. Closed a couple of years back, if memory serves.

Thanks for the info. It's too bad the hotel closed. If anyone knows or finds out where in Spain, please let me know. I was hoping she could take a nighttime picture, trying to capture some of the majik that was there. Hokey, I know, but worth a picture anyway. Thanks for the welcome. I visit often, but don't post much. Don't have a lot to say. I love the new album.
