"Love Lives In The Sky" is another version of "Land O' Free Love and Goodbye", or vice versa.
Was it ever tabbed? It's a great song, with a great melody line, and great strumming/ rhythm.

I agree it's a very nice song. It's a 2 guitar song with one strumming and one picking out the melody. Very nice combination. I'll start working on it soon.
Kind of like this C F oh the tree's grow higher than the mountain in the land of free love and goodbye C G C F C G C G FADD9 CADDG FADD9 G the rivers ever growing the fish is flowing and the l o O O OVE

Just finished love lives in the sky. It is sent to Christine already. I had trouble with some of it. The second long riff right in the middle gave me a headache trying to figure out. I hope that part is close enough. If not someone please help me with it. I knew the chords ok but getting the melody was tough. 95% of the song is right at least.

I know of "Land O' Free Love and Goodbye", but don't know of "Love Lives In The Sky". What album is this from? Are the two different musically?

Love lives in the sky was written in 1970 it was Steves first crack at this song. He re wrote it again in 1975. Slightly different musically. While LLITS is written in the key of C. LOFLAGB is using basically the same chord shapes but capoed on fret 2 in the key of D. And he drops the add9ths and modified chord shapes. Also he modified some of the lyrics to reflect his ever increasing interest in God. Where as the frst one was substituted for the word love. LLITS can be found on His Box set on disk #2. Musically I really like the LLITS version better. It's more acoustic. Sort of like a demo tape he made while he was fooling around. That's why it's so special.
