I tabbed down Into White. As DJ has already tabbed Alun's part for majicat.com, I did Cat's in about half an hour (of writing it down to paper) for the sake of the guitar fanatics ^.^
It will be available on majicat.com as soon as Christine has time to upload it.

Jacky,
For the first time ever, I've tried seriously picking some Cat guitar. I'm gettin' it!! Sounds beautiful. Nice job on Into White.
Though I must admit I'm not very quick at reading tabs (more used to looking at chord layouts). Need to familiarize myself with the process a bit more. But I find if I just let go and start playing, it kinda comes to me. My Gibson's enjoying it too!! I really hope to seriously get into guitar...

If you enjoyed Into White on your Gibson (what would I give for a J-180 lefty), then you might want to try out How Can I Tell You tabbed by DJ Illingworth here on majicat.com. It just sounds lovely-tastic.

OK, I will try it! Thanks Jacky!
(in the meantime I've been having fun with some PT songs... Sleeping Dog and Tattoo mostly). (don't think I could ever play the fast Sheraton Gibson!)
:-)
Not sure what a J-180 is... all I know is I have classical body style (concert style I think it's called?) Gibson. It has a beautiful, warm sound. (was my dad's originally, I think he bought it around 1970).

ooh, Jacky... I'm having fun with Into White. I'm actually having a hard time putting the guitar down. And amazing what a little practice will do. Only thing is -- and this has always been true for me -- I have such trouble singing to Cat. He's too low for me. I can sing perfectly to PT! But I'm loving IW. Such a delectible song -- always one of my very favorites. Probably in my top 5 of Cat songs.

How Can I Tell You is too hard... for now anyway.. But I've got Moonshadow down! For the first time ever. A lot easier than I ever thought it would be! Hard to put this guitar down...

Lucy13, If you've got "Moonshadow" down, then you can definately play "How Can I Tell You". I'm tabbing Cat and Alun's parts, but also a version that is a combination of both Cat & Alun's part along with the base line. It might sound complicated, but it's not. It's about as difficult as "Moonshadow". I often wish we all could get together somewhere and share "Cat" songs all day. It's a lot easier than reading tabs.
Life has been so busy lately that I haven't time to sit down with Jacky's last 2 tabs. Your posts have got me really wanting to do that.
Is that a picture of your guitar? I love playing a classical guitar. I've got a vintage "Candelas" classical. I also have an "Ovation", but I play the classical about 80 percent of the time.

Mine's pretty close to that one, SP.
Tell me about it! It'd be so fun to get together. Maybe one day, virtually?

Nice guitar, though I prefer acoustic ones, so I can thumb-over-neck barré . You don't need a full F# though. You can use the half-version, too.
